This comb didn’t get hot enough to do my daughter’s hair at all and I put it in all 3 settings. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS COMB IF YOU HAVE AFRICAN AMERICAN HAIR. I was replacing an electric comb I've had for a few years but the name is no longer visible on it, so I tried this comb. I have mixed hair, like 3a. This is not the one. It get somewhat hot but I have to spend more time on an area to straighten my hair, which makes it more time consuming. My daughter has 4b hair and instantly knew this comb did not work well. I did have to tell her to press the power button three times to get to the higher setting. I don't like that I cannot tell what temperature the comb is. I do like the rat tail comb and clips that came with it. I really tried to work with this comb but we have to get a new one. Most times I'm rushing to do my hair and need to freshen up my roots, so this is not going to work. ... show more
