Ok i love that it was so affordable, and honestly i bought a $700 set from a furniture store and it kept breaking and was made of like pressed board so i got tired of calling them to fix it and i sold it and bought this one, it is made of real wood it’s solid and very good quality. It did take forever to put it up and i wish the headboard was bigger, not sure if it’s like that because we don’t need a box spring or what, also with my box spring it is super high off the ground. But over all i love it and it looks so elegant & STURDY!! But i do wonder if this thing is supposed to have the box spring on it? ... show more

Started at 8 in the morning and finished at 5. Lots of screws and bolts. Some parts of the job requires two people when attaching the headboard. I found drilling pilot holes when attaching the wood slats to the base saved my marriage. :)

I assembled this pretty easily. Easy instructions. Part of the assembly required two people so someone can hold the headboard up while the other attaches the bolts. We've been using it for some weeks now and it has been sturdy and the frame and headboard look nice. We have an 11" mattress and the bed sat low to the ground. It was a comfortable height but we were used to the height of our old bed which almost needed steps to get on the bed, and getting out got to be more challenging too over the years. So this is a big difference. Being older now, the lower bed is actually better. However, we did add a 4" foam to our mattress to give it a little more height and it looks better on the frame now and it's still low enough to be comfortable. Definitely worth 5 stars. ... show more

Very solid bed, stable, no complaints on the functionality BUT.. I ordered beige color, and side board came with the different shades of beige. You can see the difference on the photo, quite different. I just took it because: Items are heavy, it’s hassle to repack and ask for replacement. I don’t have time to get a replacement item Well,,, they go to the both sides, I don’t see them side to side. Yes one side doesn’t match with the headboard but I put side table to hide it. ... show more
