  • Quality product
Style: Thermostat
Actually got same day delivery. My HVAC tech told me I paid more than half less for the same product from their supply house. I wish the unit was a bit bigger but work and looks fine.

  • High quality thermostat that is easy to install and configure
Style: Thermostat
I purchased this thermostat to replace a previous generation of this model. This thermostat is a huge improvement over the last version, and also had a very important feature that I needed, the ability to connect wireless zone sensors. Installation was super easy, the touch screen is very accurate and very easy to read, and configuration of the not included zone sensor was very easy! This is an excellent thermostat and I will definitely purchase more if and when I need to replace the other two I have. ... show more

  • Great thermostat, links w/own router to internet & app control updated 1/6/20
Style: Thermostat
I'm updating my review in part of the product and in part due to the vendor. The first thermostat I got never worked correctly. Amazon refused to help as it was over 30 days when I contacted them. They referred me to Honeywell to make a warranty claim. Honeywell said I had no warranty as I had not had an authorized Honeywell installer put it in. There is nothing in the warranty info for this product which says anything about who installs it or length of warranty. Luckily, an Amazon rep had given me the contact info for the vendor. I contacted him and he went well out of his way to get me a working thermostat. The vendor, Ginko Magic, gets 5+ stars, Amazon and Honeywell get none. The thermostat, one that has all it's parts, works well. The app is simple and straightforward. If you have a need to control or check the heat/AC while away from home, it does the job. Please note, it does require it's own router which needs to be purchased separately. To get clarity from Honeywell, I will send a letter to their CEO to get their warranty position in writing. ... show more

  • Great for upstairs temperature inconsistencies
Style: Thermostat
Wow! We have a 2-story house with a dual zoned HVAC system (2 thermostats to control upstairs and downstairs independently through adjustable dampers with only 1 air conditioner). We have had major problems with consistent air temps in the upstairs since we moved in. The 2 bedrooms in the front face the sun all day and have lots of large windows. Those rooms get HOT when it's sunny outside. The 2 bedrooms in the back are comfortable or even cool. The thermostat is located in the hallway right beside the stairwell, where all the hot air from downstairs rises. To make matters worse, it's feet away from the laundry room. We tried everything...spent $1000 to get the windows tinted in the front bedrooms, bought black-out curtains, had the air people come out and adjust our dampers multiple times and install some sort of blower for the room at the end of the run. Finally, we bought this thermostat with 4 sensors, 1 to go in each bedroom. We had our air people install it since we're still within our 1 year warranty, and they did it for free. This setup is amazing! We have it take the average of all the rooms, and now we get a very consistent temperature, even in the hallway. We stuck the sensors on the walls using medium command strips (the ones that are like Velcro), so it will be easy to pull off and change batteries when we need to. The thermostat is great because you can set a range of temperatures (minimum of 2 degrees apart), and it will automatically change from heat to air conditioner. Right now it's nearing spring, so it gets warm enough for the air conditioner during the day but cool enough for heat at night. I used to get up cold in the middle of the night and turn the heat on. Now, I set it for a range of 69-71. The air conditioner cools it if it gets above 71, but when it gets cooler at night and drops below 69, the heat kicks on. So amazing!!! Also, our HVAC guy recommended we buy the thermostat used. He said you'll be able to tell if it works or not instantly when you connect it, and Amazon's return policy is excellent, so it's worth the chance. We bought one in good condition on Amazon for $100 less than a brand new one, and the battery tab hadn't even been pulled out. Saved us a lot of money and hadn't ever been installed before! ... show more

  • Hope it lasts longer than the one it's replacing.
Style: Thermostat
Bought this to replace a similar model (the old one included humidity control, this does not). Touchscreen failed on the old one in less than 5 years. It's a very versatile thermostat. I was happy to find a replacement at a reasonable price. This model thermostat is part of the Honeywell "pro" line, which means they don't want to sell to home owners. They want you to buy it from a "pro" and have them install it. It's been a month or so and so far it works fine. ... show more

  • Peace of Mind
Style: Thermostat
We have one of these at our home and installed one at our lake home. I didn't program it right so I had to turn it off. We love having the capabilities to change the temp while away.

  • Sophisticated Junk
Style: Thermostat
What is the use of Wi-Fi connectivity and other novel features when the basics don't even work? I bought this thermostat last year to replace the same model that had a temperature sensor failure. Not even a year later and the same thing happened to the replacement. There was no warning other than a day before the outage the temperature reading wouldn't budge. How can car temperature sensors last decades in extreme conditions while an indoor sensor can't even survive a year within the narrow range of 65-75f indoors? Don't waste your money on this garbage. ... show more
