    • Outstanding Z-Wave Thermostat
Absolutely easy to install and looks nice - very modern looking and sleek. I'd advise examining the manual prior to installing and be sure to understand each setting prior to popping it on the wall. Make sure you know what type of HVAC equipment you own and its capabilities such as system type, number of heating and cooling stages, etc. It will make setup much easier and possibly save your equipment from damage due to to improper settings. The nice thing is, you can pop the batteries in and run through the settings before attaching it to the mount. (If your current thermostat has an advanced or installer setup, I'd also recommend running through it and figure out how it is currently configured). Any of these settings can be adjusted after installed, including z-wave inclusion. I have (both) mine attached to my HomeSeer system. It included without a hitch and the configurable devices created exceeded my expectations. Adjustments are a breeze from the app or web interface and reporting is instantaneous. Here is the best part... there is no cloud service involved! I had Honeywell 7 Day WiFi thermostats, and was pleased with them, but had intermittent disruptions of service because their web API is constantly offline. That isn't a problem anymore.     • Easy install, works well, too bad about Alexa integration...
I chose the T6 Pro Z-Wave thermostat for my multi-zone hydronic heating system in my house. Basically, I needed a thermostat that didn't require a C wire, would have long battery life, and still be "connected" for the whole "smart home" experience. I chose Z-Wave over Wifi connected and use a Samsung smartthings hub. Installation was a snap and in the months I've had the thermostats they have lived up to my needs. I haven't had to change batteries yet in any of the 7 units and the connection has been straightforward. My one gripe is that the Alexa integration doesn't work well. I can ask for the temperature in any room and that works well. But turning the heat on and off has required me to set up a custom "routine" and then I have to go look to see that it worked. Forget about setting the temperature. I can't tell if it's the manufacturer's integration or if it's on the Amazon side, but so far... no luck. Still, I'm happy with my purchase and think these are a good choice in general, even if not perfect. ... show more

    • Z WAVES NOT LIVING UP TO HYPE
I just received my honeywell T6 Pro Z waves thermostat through Amazon. The yellow compressor wire will not stay locked into the slot. The unit is not working and I think that has a lot to do with it. This is the second unit I purchased. First one is from a different 3d party, working well.

Bought to replace an older Honeywell thermostat we had in our RV. The unit works perfectly and connected to our z-wave hub (Indigo) without a hitch. The connection kit that comes in the box was well though out and made connecting the small wires a breeze. During the installation I had some questions so I called the 800 number in the manual and was pleasantly surprised to find that the person on the other end of line was very helpful and got us up and running in 5 minutes. Long story short, we had to change the type of heating mode to "standard gas". This is done by holding the menu button until the display changes and then find the right menu.     • Thermostat works fine, poor Z-Wave implementation, terrible support
No issues with the thermostat as a stand-alone device. However, the firmware is curiously stunted (indoor sensor can be set an ISO, but not in Z-Wave) and the temperature reporting is FUBAR with or without 0.5 degree increments (out of date/grossly rounded temperature reported with current humidity). There appear to be no firmware updates. Support is terrible, with Honeywell referring you to Resideo, and Resideo freely admitting that they don't know anything about Z-Wave, referring you to the installer. Good luck! ... show more

    • Will not connect to your WIFI!!! Must have Security System!
After calling Honeywell customer service, we learned that the A SERIES will only connect to a security system, and we cannot connect to our WiFi ourselves. Buyer Beware!!!
