Installation instructions were easy to follow. Having never done this before, it took about 15 minutes to replace the existing thermostat (an older Honeywell product). The interface is ok, but the Honeywell app makes way more sense to me. My one gripe that brings the rating down a star is that one of the mounting screw holes is located directly above the opening for cables. If you have an existing Honeywell thermostat, it’s recommended to replace it with this and some new homes being built today in the US some of the Google smart thermostats or ecobee thermostats do not have the correct voltage so pay attention to that and you’ll be fine. Purchased two of these based on the recommendation of our maintenance guy. The only problem is it did not work. It blew hot air when we wanted cold !! and could not figure it out. I know - you're going to say that we wired it wrong. It's a pretty simple wiring guide - just match up the colors - pretty hard to screw that up. I am on my 3rd one luckly I dont have to pay for it its covered under warranty. Issues range from temperature fluctuations, short cycles, and only blowing cold air. I was informed by a technician that it is not good to let these sit in the heat it basically breaks them. He said it happens alot. The 1st one would read inaccurately and cause short cycles.
