Nice size- can fit a laptop Like that there are multiple ways to open it. Like that it can be locked via cable to something. Only negative is that when I picked it up with the handle (nothing in it) the handle came off and the safe dropped and got dented.

This is the perfect size for our needs. We wanted to replace the other portable clunky, heavy, safe with key entrance only with one that was digital and keyed. Either or. This is perfect. It the size of a briefcase and is lightweight but sturdy. I can actually put paper and legal size papers inside without having to fold them. I added on the suggested waterproof money/documents bag. Great addition. So far no problems opening or closing. And there are no HOLES drilled into it like most. It does have a cable for securing but i wanted something that i did not have to bolt and could grab on the run if needed. I purchased this safe from Amazon at around $80, it works fine if you are trying to keep xbox controllers from children, outside of that you would not want to use this for cash or firearms also the keypad entry only functioned properly for about 2 weeks And we had to start using the key...you can't get a decent "anything" these days for a decent deal but it does work temporarily for Xbox controllers! ... show more

the handle is so loose it comes off easily that when i carried it, the safe box dropped on my toes and hurt so bad. you can only lock the safe when you lock the key as well. i thought the key is only for emergency purpose. setting the digital lock doesn't lock unless i lock the safe with the key as well. maybe i did it wrong but without using the key and i lock the safe with the digital code doesn't work. ... show more

I found it a bit problematic programing my code. For some reason I've had to re-enter my code 3 times. But no matter, because there are keys that override everything. So there's no fear of not being able to get in my locked box.

    • Handle is worthless, overall bad buy

The main reason for our selecting this product over others was the need for a handle and desire to have a non-key locking option, but the handle can't support weight and pops right out. The entire case is made from flimsy coated steel in China and appears as easy to just pry open like the cheap cash boxes. (I didn't test my theory as I am submitting this for a return as soon as I finish this review.) I wish I had read the other reviews before buying, but had previously held a high opinion of Honeywell products... but apparently they are licensing their name out to a company that now slaps the "Honeywell" brand on any piece of trash that can lock. 2 stars because if you just want a lockbox for paperwork or things that don't need real security, this seems like it would do the job - though you should save the money and buy a different brand. I for one am returning this and spending a few extra bucks to get a Pelican. ... show more
