I love Honeywell thermostats. I have installed many many thousands of them. This product works good when it's installed correctly but the only problem with it is that the subbase and the thermostat itself don't seem to stay clicked together very well. There is always a bit of a gap at the bottom like it's not locking in. After installing 30 or 40 of these quite a few customers comment on it doesn't look like it's on the wall and I've had to return them or replace them with something else. Everything I sell is Honeywell. I'm moving on to the T6 wi fi product. I will miss this design as far as the screen and shape goes though. ... show more

    • Great thermostat, easy installation, very easy to use.
Very easy to install and configure. I have three zones in my house and I have set up and installed 3 of these thermostats. The issue is that you need to create an account on Honeywell site for which I used my email address. I have control of all 3 thermostats and it works like a charm. The reason for 4 stars is because if I want to give the control to someone else in the house, I need to share my login details with them. I haven't been able to find a way to let them create a new account so that they can manage the thermostat on their level without using my credentials to log in. ... show more

    • Works great, easy to use
I love being able to set up the schedule through an app. I feel like the error msgs are easy to look up and fix (not that there have been many error msgs). The only two things I don't like are that the unit itself and the app don't allow you to change the clock. You have to log onto the full website to change the time and they don't have all the times zones listed. So being in AZ, we have to choose Mtn time for half the year and Pacific the other half. Which means the inconvenience of getting on the website rather than just changing it on the unit or the app. ... show more

I'm very pleased with the product. The installation was easy with the high quality instructions included. For those wondering about the "C" wire, in my case I just popped the old thermostat off and the wiring was right there and I could see a wire going to the "C" post so I knew I was good. I took my time and followed the instructions and installation went without a hitch. The wifi setup was easy too although it probably took as long as the hardware installation. Warning - do the wifi setup right away because it times-out if you wait - I found that out the hard way and then had to figure out how to get it back into setup mode again (just pop it off, wait a minute, and put it back on; equivalent of rebooting our computer). The software is simple but does the job. You can also control from your computer. I bought the two pack and both are in the app and easy to see. All good stuff and I'm please. No need to buy those more expensive ones, this one is great for a wifi controlled/monitored thermostat. ... show more

This product indicates that there are two, but we received only one. Amazon took care of it and sent out another package. But again, only one arrived. Amazon took care of it and adjusted my account being that I did receive two packages. It was easy but took a little time. I’m grateful for it being solved and I hope they have since fixed the issue. Anyway... these are incredibly easy to install (read the product description fully - not all systems are the same).     • Honeywell 7-Day Programmable Wi-Fi Thermostat
I bought two Honeywell RTH6580WF Wi-Fi 7-Day Programmable Thermostats. One is for my water gas heating unit (this one is fine, works). Another is for my baseboard water gas heating and AC system. I have a separated water gas heating unit (RH, C, W wires) and a central AC systems (RC, Y, G wires) with two independent 24V transformers. The Honeywell says if there is C wire and it will work. However, my C wire comes from RH (heating unit). It will not power this thermostat for both heating and cooling system. I was told by Honeywell later, C wire needs from the cooling unit (RC, transformer). It is very difficult for me to get access to my AC 24V transformer. The Honeywell should indicate this in the instruction and the website or make the thermostat to work with C wire from heating or AC unit. The customer services are good, except that some of the technicians only have limited knowledge about the transformers. The WIFI setup is a little tricky. The setup time window is probably a few seconds. If you miss it, you need to disconnect the thermostat and re-do the whole thing. ... show more

    • Reasonably priced reliable wifi thermostats
A couple of years ago I purchased two of these thermostats for our summer cottage. They have worked very well to control and monitor the temperature there and through the app on my smartphone. The installation and setup was very simple, taking only a few minutes. They have been very reliable and the communication through the Honeywell servers has been excellent. As a result, I purchased two more for our main home. The installation at home was more complex since the existing thermostats had only two wires and I needed to add transformers to provide the necesssary C wire. I highly recommend these units as reasonably priced wifi thermostats. ... show more

    • EASY WIFI setup, amazing value!
I bought the two-pack and installed these wifi thermostats. They were easy to install and configure. The App works perfectly for remote access of each unit. Don't over pay (unless you have tons of disposable income) as these work perfect and for $80/each you can't find a better value. Some of the new color screens are "cooler" but from a function and economic standpoint you can't beat this item! ... show more
