Honeywell is a brand that I have been buying for years! I was definitely excited to see how their GPS collar compared to the one that we were previously using. YOU MUST PAY FOR A SUBSCRIPTION TO USE THIS COLLAR! That is clearly stated in the product description but I thought I should mention it again for all those that seem surprised by this. The collar itself is way too small and rigid IMO. It says that it will fit dogs of all sizes but that definitely isn't true. It didn't even come close to fitting our big girl. (she is over 60 lbs) If you have a large dog, I would be prepared to use your own collar with the tracking device. I DO like that you have that option. You don't have to use the collar that comes with the device, you can use the collar that your dog is used to. It might be convenient to sell just the trackers without the collars for those that wish to go that route. (and to save the buyer a few bucks) Setting up the device took a little longer than expected but we did finally get it working. You can set up a designated "safe zone" and get alerted if your dog leaves that area. If you have an escape artist on your hands, this is a MUST!!! When they say you can track your dog, you can REALLY track your dog - steps taken, location, route history, calories burned, etc. The most important thing for us was the location tracker. Our dogs are almost ALWAYS on a leash but occasionally they sneak off and decide to go on their own adventures. In those cases, this device is a godsend! ... show more

It appears that the app required to use this collar is no longer on the google play store. Against my better judgment I manually installed the app without the play store and after a long clunky process to setup the collar I had $10 less dollars and a tracker that did nothing but tell me my dog is at home in the same spot never moving more than 40 yards. I went on a walk far outside the virtual fence I set up and the collar totally dropped the ball sending no notifications of this event. I would not recommend this collar at all as you can just tie a small block to your dog and burn $10 each month and accomplish the same thing. ... show more

Honeywell's Pet Activity Tracker claims to offer useful features like geo-fencing, a find-my-pet alarm, and fitness tracking, which makes it a promising option for dog owners. I was particularly interested because I had been exploring other, pricier tracking solutions. Unfortunately, the "one-size-fits-all" collar is misleading. In reality, the included collar is suitable only for smaller/toy breeds, and possibly cats. For reference, it will not fit my 50lb pup who wears a 17-19" collar. But, no worries! The tracker itself can, in theory, be slipped on to any size collar. Alas, it is incompatible w/ the types of collars we use most. Furthermore, the silicone holder that wraps around the tracker is entirely too lose, allowing the tracker to repeatedly pop out if you look at it funny. This is especially problematic if you have active pets. Yes, using the device requires an app, which is standard w/ most popular pet tracking devices; as is the required monthly subscription fee to access its features. It's too bad that the product description is not transparent enough to clearly specify the recurring monthly fee and the pricing in question, nor does it offer a trial period to test the service. Regardless, I cannot speak to how these features work given the inability to use the included too small "one-size-fits-all" collar and for the tracking device to remain secure within its holder. Due to fit limitations and lack of transparency regarding the subscription service, this might limit its overall appeal to pet owners. ... show more

Pros: 1. Tracks your dogs location via 4G 2. Tracks your Dogs activity...which...is great if your dog has a steps goal? 3. Product works as expected. 4. You can setup a geofence so if you dog does get out you'll know through an alert. Cons: 1. Setting this up took 30 minutes per tracker 2. Cost is $10/mo/tracker...so I spend more to track my dog than I do on Netflix now (two dogs) 3. The number on the back of the tracker required to activate your subscription is like a size 2 font. Be sure to buy a magnifying glass with this. The color is also just light enough that even if you try to use your phones QR code scanner it won't read it. Not enough contrast. The material is too shiny as well so reflecting light gets in the way. 4. The on size fits all color is too small for big dogs. My 70lb labs can't use them. 5. You have to charge it every seven days 6. The rubber holders for the devices that connect to the tracker do a good enough job holding them in but if you have toddlers, these things will go missing fast as they can easily take them off the color. ... show more
