  • Really Brought Down the Humidity!
This machine performs beautifully and seems to be very well made! We live in the South, so heat and humidity are a reality in the summer. I was impressed with how well it brought down the humidity in the house, so much so that we had to raise the temperature on the AC because with the drier house it was becoming too chilly. I'm also impressed with the functionality of the pump. I had my doubts, but it does a great job of pumping the water out and up about four feet into a sink. We don't have a floor drain, so that pump was a key piece of why this particular unit was purchased. It does make some noise, but nothing intrusive. It's mostly just a low hum. After a couple of days we no longer even heard it. I'm also very pleased with how well the Honeywell app works. It provides the same functionality that the control panel offers, but let's me manage the machine from anywhere--especially useful if we're out of town. All in all, an exceptional dehumidifier! ... show more

  • Very powerful, very effective
As dehumidifers go, Honeywell's are among the best. This unit is frankly overkill for most houses and will happily run continuously if you need it to. It'll take the humidity down as low as 35%, and keep it there as long as needed. It can be a bit noisy though, so I recommend not deploying it near where anyone sleeps. It's best suited to basements or very large rooms. ... show more

  • Works very well!
This works very well for drawing the moisture out of the air. My basement was about 80% humidity and after running it for 24 hours it was down to 40% humidity. You do have to empty the holding tank a lot at first but it was amazing how much water it produced. I did order an extra hose to attach to see if I could get it to drain into my shower but I couldn’t get it to work. I am okay with that because once you get the humidity stabilized you don’t have to empty the water as often. It is easy to use and since I have it on carpet I did buy a rubber mat to set it on in case it did leak, but I have not had any problems with it in the 6 months I have had it. Overall I am very satisfied and happy that I can control the humidity in the basement. ... show more

  • E3 Error
Worked for about 9 months and then started to occasionally show an E3 error. The frequency of the error increased over time, and now the machine will only run for 30 min before showing it. Don't buy.

  • GREAT HUMIDIFIER. IT HAS ALL the Functions needed. It is worth the extra dollars.
Great humidifier. It sucks the water out of the air like a pro. My house is dry. I am happy. It has ALL the features that are needed, built in pump, large water bin, almost 2 gallons - easy to remove and empty, stops when you take the container out, restarts when you replace the container. It has continuous drain option, drains up down, sideways, comes with 2 drain tubes, 3 ft and 16 feet, auto shut off when water bin is full, auto defrost, auto restart when electricity goes off, WiFi, easy to setup, good instructions, noise level is reasonable for the job it is doing, sitting 6 feet away with tv on...It is a gem! I have to empty the water container 2 times a day, makes it through the night. ... show more

  • Product seems good - but the app is AWFUL -
Size: (NEW) 1500 Sq. Ft w/ Alexa
I purchased a Midea dehumidifier and it malfunctioned and flooded my home - TWICE, so this time I decided to go with a better known brand. The pros - Arrived quickly - Seems well made - Fairly quiet (compared to the dehumidifiers I've purchased in the past) - It works well (compared to previous dehumidifier). Managed to get humidity down from 80 to 50 (actually 47 was lowest it reached) in very humid coastal southeast Ga The cons - Did not come with a hose (though I think this might be an oversight) - LCD does not display number unless you're adjusting it - The app is absolutely awful. Hard to connect to and very little support available. Once you get the app installed, you'll be shocked at how little it does. Even though it's a Honeywell branded product - the support is done via Jymatek. Little to no online presence (with regards to online tutorials for trouble-shooting) and the toll free number support is only available Mon - Fri, I think between 9am - 5pm EST. Unsure because I could never reach anyone via phone. Comparatively, Midea had 24/7 support via chat / email / phone. Not a pro / con - just an FYI - - humidity reading is level in the immediate area in front of unit. It appears to be 7 - 10 pts lower than the whole house reading. In other words - if you want your room or house to reach 50% humidity, you might need to set the unit for 40 or 43% humidity. I always view the humidity readings on both the Nest thermostat and the individual humidity monitors I've placed in all of the rooms throughout the house. I've had this unit for less than a month. I will report back in a few months. I really wish the app, at the very least, showed users when it reaches desired levels and stops blowing. The house is unoccupied for weeks at a time, and my concern is that the unit will run non-stop, resulting in a crazy-high electrical bill. All the app allows you to do is turn the unit on / off, view the current humidity level and set scheduled run times. ... show more

  • Works great going on 1 year!
Got spray foam insulation in 2000 sq. ft. attic with cathedral ceiling and humidity level increased but temperature decreased, researched it and it happens. I like the Wi-Fi capability so I can check it in my living room cause it’s in the attic. So far keeping attic at 55 - 60 degrees humidity . Seems to make humidity levels in rest of the home better too. ... show more
