It reduced humidity in basement during times of high humidity. Since it is in the laundry room I don’t notice any noise. I have it on a small table beside the laundry tub so it drains into the sink and no pump is needed. A light signals when filter needs cleaning.

I bought this dehumidifier in June of 2025. to replace an older Honeywell unit that had operated well for a long time. I believed Honeywell to be a good product with a good reputation. I was badly fooled this time. We used this dehumidifier in our vacation home in the mountains of North Georgia from June through August, 2025. It performed well. In the winter when the heat is on the dehumidifier is turned off and unplugged. It was operated again from April,2026 until June 24, 2026 when it quit removing the humidity from the air. It only operated six month of the 12 months that we had the dehumidifier. We go to our vacation home every month and I always check on the dehumidifier each month when we are there. It drains to the outside of the house. When it wasn’t working in June, 2026, I checked the drain and it was fine, then I performed all of the troubleshooting tips but nothing worked. The coils were freezing over and it was not removing any humidity from the air. Then the control panel completely stopped working. I performed more troubleshooting to no avail. I began trying to contact Honeywell by calling and doing online chat. The customer service numbers I called said that they had no personal customer service available and I would need to contact them online. They only use AI for their online service and because I was 12 days out from my one year warranty it told me that they had no responsibility to do anything about the problem. I tried contacting them again but I couldn’t get through to anyone and I kept getting the same response. I finally notified Amazon, where I bought the product and they were kind enough to help out because I had bought an extended warranty through them. Honeywell obviously is not the same company it once was and they made a faulty dehumidifier that they were not willing to stand behind. They also don’t have any customer service or loyalty to their customers. I will never buy anything else made by Honeywell. ... show more

This is my second Honeywell dehumidifier. I need two for different rooms in the basement. The newest one is much easier to pull the bucket out and it has a sight glass to see how much is in the bucket. Also, there is now a comfort mode that automatically turns it on or off as needed to stay 55 % humidity. It has a one-year warranty and four-year warranty on the sealed parts. This was a replacement for a older humidifier that simply wore out. This until does a great job of lessening the humidity in our basement. The only down side is the water collection bucket is small and we need to dump it twice a day. Product work well.

Removes moisture like a champ! Had to empty every day. The full indicator light is very handy since the unit cycles keeping my inside humidity level just right. Light lets me know the tank is full and needs emptying. Wish I bought a larger capacity one cause have to empty twice a day sometimes. Well here it is less than a year later since ordering this unit. It now has less than 6 months actual usage time and it doesn’t dehumidify any longer. I’ve kept it clean, stored it properly for winter storage, cleaned it in May before using again, and now here it is the beginning of August and it doesn’t dehumidify at all.
