After reading all the reviews on size, I got the xxl for myself. I am a 5ft 9in size 10 woman and it was plenty long enough. I ordered an xl for my husband who is 5ft 6in and thin and it fit him fine too. To us, there wasn't much difference in leg length. I can wear the xl. I have a long inseam but these fit great. They are pretty good quality too. I like the rigid hood. I am claustrophobic and this was not a problem. Really happy with these so far...have worn them just once as we just got bees. This beekeeping suit was purchased for my wife. Things you will like about this suit. Great Price, Super fast shipping, Self supporting hood that's a big plus, Sturdy zippers, Elastic cuffs both arms and legs, Velcro flap to cover the zippers on your chest/neck. The material is thick so you don't get stung but also cool enough not to sweat to death. After we were done opening and servicing our two hives she told me she felt very safe and secure versus her old hand me down suit she was using.     • Great suit Lady sizes
I was hesitant to buy this because of reviews on being too small. I bought a large I'm 5'4 170 lbs. I think these are women's sizes. If u are taller than 5'4 I would definitely go with the xl. As far as bee protection it worked great no stings at all. I did use a safety pin in the gap where hood attached cause of other reviews and I'm gonna attach a piece of zelcro myself.     • Good suit for a beginner beekeeper
I bought this suit when I started beekeeping. It has help up well for 3 seasons. I sized up to give myself extra breathing room on hot days. The only complaint I have is that the hoot slides back while I'm working and my face ends up pressed against the mesh. It can become uncomfortable and requires constant readjustment. Anything that I wear on my head, from a baseball cap to a bandanna to a hair clip, gets pushed off by the hood. Other than that, it has served me well. It has prevented me from getting stung through the fabric and has a flap at the top of he zipper where the hood zip and body zip meet to prevent bees from entering the "no fly zone" (aka the inside of my suit). ... show more

Just installed my first package of bees in this suit. They were all over the place, but no stings on the suit-- they seemed to be content to sit on it. I felt pretty secure, and the cotton is decently thick. I gave it a 4 on comfort, because while it fit perfectly (even over my large hips and short frame), it's pretty hot and stuffy under the hood. The hood zippers overlap a little for extra security, and there are loops on the sleeves and ankles as well. We'll see how it holds up this season. ... show more

    • Misleading sizes and size guide.
Size: 2X Large
Product appears to be put together well and of OK quality...but sizes aren’t what you would expect- as an example I’m 5’8’’ and ordered an XL. Well that was too tight so I had to return that. The company docked close to $10 from my return, even though I followed the sizing guide! So I ordered an XXL, and fit into that just fine. This suit is very well made from strong material (cotton) and is very nice and loose. I'm 5'5" 190 lb. and this suit feels very comfortable. Now is time to buy bees, meanwhile will use as protection from yellowjackets - got already several stings and bites this year. I ordered this as a new beekeeper and don't expect to need it every time I inspect, but for the time being, it will be nice for my safety. It is well made and comfortable. I was surprised at the how much I could see through the veil hood, vision is not limited at all. I am very happy with my purchase. One note - I added a safety pin once the hood was zipped/attached at a starting point because it was a bit difficult to do so once the suit was on. This way, it's already attached at one point.
