This was my first time trying the dip polish. I love it. I tried the glitter one first but I could feel the glitter through the two coats of top coat. So, I put a gel top coat on it, cured it, and now it's smooth. The only thing I didn't like was that the colors I got didnt really match what the picture showed. They were all lighter by a couple of shades from the pictures of whats in the little bottles. I received two really light looking lavenders and two medium shades of purple. The pictures showed one light, one medium, and two dark and one of the dark ones was supposed to be the glitter one.

Ordered this to try doing dipped nails at home, as I didn't want to keep paying $60/time to get them done at a salon. This kit was very disappointing and I greatly appreciate Amazon refunding me for it. 1. The colors pictured are NOT the ones I received. As others noted, the two sparkly colors are missing, and instead, two similar shades as the other two blues were received. 2. The bottles of base and activator were nearly empty on arrival, with barely any liquid in them at all and certainly less than claimed on the labels. 3. Still, I tried to make the best of it, and did one hand, but the results were hideously thick, chunky, and uneven. Even my boyfriend was like "uh, just go to the salon" despite following the instructions precisely (the instructions, BTW, said instructions do not explain how to get the matte look shown in the pictures - and they do not match the steps shown on Amazon. 4. The nail files included were low quality and did a poor job shaping or prepping the nail - ended up using my own stuff. The only good thing about the kit was the Hello Kitty brush included, which is super soft and nice.

Colors are great the liquids are small though which is ok because they tend to go bad if just stored for more than a while so I rather run out of liquid than it go bad . Easy application easy to file
