    • I was surprised the RPM these run at, 7000 rpm
I thought this pump was kind of small for the power, until I checked the RPM mine was running 7700 RPM that is twice the RPM of most pumps, but it is a Honda, so should still be able to handle it, this gives it more power to weight ratio, I did check the owner manual and reset the max RPM to 7000 No load. to make it just a little less demanding on the motor. I do not use it much or very long. I have no problem paying more for a Honda than a Chinese gamble, seems everything Chinese is substandard quality, always, and they false advertise on almost everything, ... show more

    • Pushes water 300' uphill w/ high pressure
Used it to water a garden from a pond. It pushed water 300 feet uphill and supplied two hoses with high pressure. We didn't even run it at full power. Easy to start. Every time. Make sure oil level is at max. You will need to check after first start and possibly top it off. Max is when oil is at top of filler hole on level surface. It will not run if low on oil. I am very pleased and would recommend. Also have the 1 inch honda pump. It is okay, but this pump moves a larger volume much quicker. ... show more

I bought this so my wife could drain an area of the farm. She is easily able to pull start this unit. My only concern is that the tank is small and needs refueling often. When it's running it's very solid. Great flow and the engine is sized appropriately. I'd buy again.
