I purchased this bed frame in Queen size to use with my three layer, 10" thick Foam Sweet Foam brand 100% natural latex bed (best bed I've ever owned or slept in, by the way). These types of beds require a minimum of 3" between slats, but 2" is even better, because they will sag between the slats and get ruined if they don't have that support. Now this frame's slats are a lot farther away than that (something like 7" or so I think it said in the description) and the slats run right to left, so I had my husband put boards across the slats from head to toe which created an almost solid surface for the bed to sit on. We used 5, 1" thick X 11" wide X 71" long kiln dried pine pieces of wood. You could use more narrow pieces of wood if you wanted to...totally up to you. With the wood sitting on the slats, it made it almost, but not quite, as high as the outer metal frame, so the bed sat down onto the wood quite nicely. You could use thicker or thinner wood as well...totally up to you. The bed is absolutely solid, no creaking, no squeeking, no movement whatsoever. It was super easy to put together also, we had no problems at all and everything arrived in great shape with nothing missing. Now, about the amazing customer service of the Homus company: After completely assembling the frame and bed I realized that it was a little shorter than I liked. They don't offer this particular frame/foundation with higher legs, so what to do? There were others, but they didn't have the heavy duty rating with only having the 4 outer legs and I didn't want legs in the center of each length of frame to whack my toes on, as what you get with the 6 or 9 leg options. I contacted Homus through Amazon here (don't use the phone number or website on the back of the assembly instructions because they don't work) and asked if they could possibly make me some 12" high legs for this frame. I would need the four rectangular outer legs and the one round center support. I figured what the heck, the worst they could say was no, and hubby and I would have to make some type of wooden things to make the bed higher. I was contacted quite quickly and the guy said he would check with the welders. Great! He emails back in a very short time period, and in the utmost respectful and nice way tells me they can do that for me no problem, but it would take a few days, but then they would FedEx them to me asap; NO CHARGE FOR THE WORK, THE MATERIALS, OR THE SHIPPING, is that ok? In complete shock I email him back and say that is more than ok, that is awesome, I have no problem at all waiting, and thank you so much!!! THAT is almost unheard of customer service!!! I believe they must be in China because it was a bit of broken English in the emails and the package had Chinese letters on it, but I'll tell you what, the legs worked out great and I absolutely love this bed frame! I can even put totes under it now! I didn't even have to send them the shorter legs back that originally came with the bed either. Oh, and get this, I got ANOTHER email a few days after I got the legs asking me if they worked ok! Amazing follow up customer service as well!!! I wish I could give them 10 stars!!!

Bought a new king sized mattress and box springs so needed a new bed fram. This one assembled well and seems pretty sturdy. Only drawback is that the legs could be a little longer to make underbed storage more accessible.

Easy to set up, very sturdy, and comfortable sleep. Got it because my old box springs were shot and wanted more space for storage. No squeaks, and well made. Basically it is two units that make up one full size bed, so you have double the support. Basically you 12 legs of support as opposed to the 5 that most come with. No wooden or metal slats to contend with. You unfold it out of the box, do two or three little things to it, and you have your bed. That's it. If something changes in the future I will update this review. Very happy with it.
