I would recommend getting a frame with a headboard, which can save you a lot of space on your nightstand. I really like the built-in power outlet in the middle. It tooks me about an hour to assemble. The instructions could be more detailed, but if you’re experienced with IKEA furniture, you won't have any problem. A cordless drill helps a lot. Just be careful not to use too much torque on the screws. Use the included hex key to manually tighten them to your preferred snugness. By the way, the manufacturer included 1–3 extra screws for each type, which is a nice bonus. ... show more

Bought this bed for my 8 year old daughter and it’s a hit! Assembly took a bit, but wasn’t difficult at all. Everything was packed really well and no parts were missing. We appreciated that the slats were on a Velcro strip, so that we didn’t have to attach every single slat on both sides of the bed. The upholstery is very soft. Very nice frame. It's cute, aesthetic, and has a nice upscale look to it. However, the assembly is definitely required of 2 or more individuals. That is, if you're not familiar with assembling with lackluster instructions. After some time of trying it out with 2 adults and 2 animals, I will say that as far as sturdiness goes, it's "okay".. It won't wake you up if someone moves or anything, it just doesn't exactly give you that "it's not going anywhere" feel. Also, i received it with a piece broken. No biggie, still put it together, but the piece that got broken was the cut-out for the electrical socket. still fits and all that. Just felt worth mentioning. Also, the little shelf uptop is purely ornamental. nothing terribly heavy should or could go up there unless you have no animals/kids/etc. Also, the wood on the shelving area isn't very 'sturdy'. so if you're a hydrator, a 44oz cup doesn't look very safe to keep up there. but for your phone, a small lamp, and some small plants, not bad. ... show more

I love this bed so much. It has both strength and appearance, and the quality of the wooden frame is good. There is no strange smell, and there is no squeaking sound when standing on it. It matches the style of my bedroom very well. They did not provide enough screws it says they provide 22 B screws as you go through the instructions and actually add it up you need 30 of the B screws… someone did awful math while creating the instructions!!
