I LOVE the ottoman bench, the faux leather is very nice, and the walls are strong, the interior is reasonable, the wheels work really well. The screws provided, to hold the hinges, are far too short, or too fat, or something, for the width and composition of the walls, as, they have pulled out, So, one of these days I will reinforce on the inside and rebuild around the hinge area, so that the hinges will be secure. PROs 1. Lift to open/close easily. 2. Sturdier frame than popups. CONs 1. Assembly was a bit difficult. 2. Lift location is misalign but moving it means it's not fasten to a wood piece. 3. Lost of height compared to others. It's shorter by 2-3In which means less to fit. I didn't count on this loss besides a shorter one from 43". 4. The frame (WxL) is thicker in diameter 1/2" so more lost of soace all around to side that fit in 43". 5. Screwdriver provided doesn't really work that great will trips screws. This is difficult to install w/o power tools. 6. Cushion is a bit strange to sit on, it sinks if you sit further back vs. the edge. ... show more

I love the look, sturdiness, and storage capabilities of this storage bench. However, it was a bear to put together. The bottom was a midge too long and wouldn't fit down in the opening properly. I went ahead and screwed it down anyway which actually helped seat it a little bit better. Then, it was difficult to screw down the hinge, already attached to the lid, to the box. If I lined up the holes on the hinge with the holes on the box, the lid wasn't centered on the box. I had to predrill new holes. Even then, it was difficult to screw in the screws tightly. A couple of them stripped before I could get them tightened down. By the way, I wound up having to use a drill with a screw driver bit. There was no way I could even begin to get anything screwed down using the little bitty screw driver that was included. I won't even discuss attaching the hinges to keep the lid open. The only parts easy to attach were the feet! But, it's finally put together, not in the best fashion, but will have to do. ... show more

Nice look, sturdy. Putting it together took some time. All pieces were labeled '7' so the directions didn't work for indicating what piece you should be working on. If you take a minute, you can figure it out. Very helpful for two people to work on it. Also take a minute to determine where you screw in the hinge. There are no holes started in the frame so you have to determine that yourself. There is a hole in the material but that moves around so it isn't accurate . Once put together, it's' great. Great team building with hubby! I would buy again. ... show more

Great for the price and sturdy and spacious once assembled, but take my advice and use your own screws cuz the ones that come with it are made of too soft a metal and the heads will twist off just as you almost have it in, and then itโ€™s a pain to get out and redo. In one case, the pilot hole for one of the screws sat directly above something metal in the frame and we had to use a drill and put a new pilot hole next to it so we could actually use it. But still, once you get past the screws, itโ€™s a great storage ottoman, sturdy and comfy. But if you donโ€™t have your own screws or a drill, it may be problematic to assemble. ... show more

the base board is too long, so this was difficult to assemble correctly. caeveat emptor. i reached out to customer support, and they sent a video showing how to basically slam the base board into place. this took some work but was manageable; the ottoman is now fully assembled and working correctly.

Got for hubbys closet to sit and put on shoes, etc, holds his weight and size easily, he loves it. Great extra storage for shoes. Only issue was 1 leg didnโ€™t screw in, screw hole was too big or stripped on inside. Since we like it otherwise, just used some Gorilla glue and itโ€™s fine.

The media could not be loaded. I got this one because it wasn't one of the folding ottomans because they don't look very sturdy and I'm very happy with it. It was kind of a pain to assemble, but now that it's together it looks great and fits a lot more than the better homes and gardens one that we had before. We fit 6 complete queen size sheets sets, a few unmatched fitted and flat sheets, and a big fleece blanket. With room for more. Probably wouldn't fit big comforters tho. ... show more
