I am impressed with this product. It took me a little while to figure out the instructions, but after a while I got it. I was particularly impressed and pleased that they included two pieces of tempered glass in the package. This created an opportunity to practice with both units in order that one not panic when they are in the situation where they need to use them. I should have put something under the glass so that when it shattered I could easily scoop up the pieces. I could not believe how well it worked! I wanted to buy these for two reasons: (1) if the electric system goes out so that the windows cannot be operated, here is the chance to get out of the car; (2) this device does not require physical strength to break the window, so as to get out through the opening. I found this device to be very ingenious and I’m happy I bought it and will keep it in my car. Hopefully, I’ll never need to use them. I was thinking it would be a good idea to give these his gifts. Keep one in each car now. Compact enough to mount or stash in the glove box without being in the way. Feels sturdy, not flimsy like some I've seen. Hopefully never need to actually use it, but knowing it's there if a window or seatbelt situation comes up is worth it. Getting two in one pack made it easy to cover both cars at once. I’ve seen a lot of window breakers before, but I’m gonna tell you this thing is fantastic. They even give you a sample to test it on to see how it breaks the glass. I feel a lot more confident and safe in my car now knowing I can get out if I need to and it also cut the seatbelt if needed.

The packaging for the "Vehicle Mounted Safety Hammer"protected the tool. Only use guidance was on back - very vague. No mention made of the round piece of glass incl. to test break glass: Could have been missed or tossed. English instruction bad: " Safety hammer: use your head to gently press the four corners of the window. It can break glass." Was "head" a typo for "hand"?? Why would you press your HEAD against laminated glass you were about to shatter w/ spring- loaded lool? in n emergency. Which way is the glass going to explode-out or back toward your head? At what critical point on glass- the center, anywhere? Add advice that "Cap rims will need a bit of car wax to ease cap removal". They stick otherwise. Belt cutter info instruction is clear. Well made tool though. Review software refused to upload image of package instruction to see how vague/ confusing it is on the hammer. ... show more
