I've only used this for yard and garden cleanup so far, but I have no issues to report. The tarp is a bit thin (which makes sense since it's not a "heavy duty" version), so I worry a little about durability over time. No issues so far after a couple weekends of moderate work.

I have five wagons like the three you see in the photo. There is room in the barn for two at atime, so if I load all five three have to sit outside until they can be unloaded. There's about $500-worth of hay on each of those loads, so if it might rain they need to be covered. This 20x30 tarp will cover two of them comfortably, and in a pinch, if rain is coming over the hill and time is short, the wagons can be parked close enough together that one tarp will do for all three. The package states this tarp is light duty, and I'd agree with that. But that can be an advantage if you have to cover something like some loads of hay in a hurry. Heavy duty tarps are just that - heavy - and that makes them harder to deal with when laying them out and throwing them over something. In addition, we have been known to use tarps like this to cover vegetables in our garden against an early frost, where a heavy tarp would result in more damage than protection. So, as long as we use the tarp carefully, it should do what we need it to do.

I knew this would be a light duty tarp, which I prefer because it’s easier to lift, align, and secure when I’m doing it alone, but I didn’t realize how well the edges & corners would be reinforced. Each corner has a firm plastic cover with the grommet secured through it. All the edges have a thin but sturdy cord in the seam that runs from one corner to the next. The 10’ sides have 4 grommets each, and the 12’ sides have 5 each. The inner diameter of each grommet is ½” so can easily be threaded with rope or used with bungee cords and tent stakes. I used this tarp to cover my small ATV and it’s a good fit. We’re expecting another storm with high winds in the next 2 days, so I secured it with long bungees at every grommet. Since the ATV is somewhat protected from the direct weather, this tarp should hold together and keep it dry. So far, I’m happy with the quality of this tarp.

We recently had some shingles blow off and needed temporary protection from the rain. This tarp was fine for that use. It's VERY thin and I wouldn't expect it to last a long time. Luckily we only needed 2 weeks and it did fine. At only twenty dollars, it's cheap insurance. It would work great to drive a car on if you need to work on it. The grommets are aluminum. Very lightweight. It would be a good tarp to have on had in case of some emergency.

This tarp is about medium thickness, we used it for hauling dirt and it worked great. So far it is held up against the elements just fine. No tares have occured after shoveling dirt onto and off of the tarp.

Fifty bucks feels a bit high, but that's just my "po' boy" economic reality; any decent tarp of any real size is going to cost accordingly. It's what one expects from these tarpaulins, probably maybe a bit better than some of the typical retail outlet varieties. I'm quite sure this one will see a lot of service for its lifespan, I'll be using the heck out of it, and this desert is very hard on things so we'll see how it lasts.
