So many times, I put out the awning on my rig so I can relax in a chair, only to discover that the afternoon sun has made its way underneath- on one side, or the other. I hate that! So when I saw this 'Shade Screen Side Panel', I grabbed it! Along with the sun screen panel, you get an accessory bag- filled with a lightweight rope and several light-duty stakes, plus a [very thin] clear, zippered storage bag- with a handle. Honestly, regarding that storage bag, I was afraid I'd tear it- stuffing everything in. Amazingly, it did not tear... But it feels like it's made out of kitchen-grade plastic wrap, so I don't hold out much hope of it lasting too long. Fortunately, the sun screen panel is a different story. It seems very well-made and highly durable. The panel is made of that rough, woven screen-type material... the kind that can take decent abuse from sun and wind. The panel is also heavily reinforced- including double-stitching all the way around the perimeter of the panel. And there are heavily-reinforced grommets and D-rings at the corners- for tying and staking this panel in place. Truthfully- in a really strong wind, I think my rig's awning assembly would rip apart before this panel does. As shown in the pictures from the listing, the panel is more trapezoid, than square. There's a definite "up"-side, meant to work with the angle of your awning. If you want everything perfect, you'll have to play with raising (or lowering) your awning supports to get that "seamless" fit. Otherwise, this panel is pretty universal in nature, and can be hung anywhere you'd like some shade. With that in mind, you don't have to hang it on your RV's awning, either. It'll work on an "Easy-Up" canopy, too- though the sizing may not be precise. But it's shade, right? Speaking of shade, this panel does a great job of softening the sun! It's not a solid block, and that's good. I can still see the beautiful scenery surrounding me, but it keeps the sun at bay. This panel makes for a good privacy screen, too- since it is harder to see through than regular screen. It is great that the stakes are included, since they keep the panel from flapping in the breeze- a must have. The size of the panel is generous, aw well. It works great with the awning on my high-wall tent trailer. I am very happy with this screen, and might even pick up a second panel, for the other side! ... show more

It was really easy to install. It slides right in to a factory slot in the awning. When the awning is rolled in it can roll up into the awning for storage. It comes with a bag to store it in (cheap in construction may not last long), tent stakes (5), ropes to tie to tent stakes (5), and 4 Velcro ties to roll it up for storage. The shade seems to be well made it took two of us to install it because it has to be slit onto the awning pipe and fed correctly onto the one side. The tent stakes are kinda cheap thicker than your average tent stake but I wish they had a better way to hold it to the ground. It was very simple to install. Ours didn’t come with instructions. I realize it’s self explanatory but they could be useful for some people. All in all really great product! It gives a lot of great shade in the Arizona sun so long as the wind isn’t blowing. ... show more

This was a great find. The deck faces south with no shade for most of the day. I do have an awning but the sun still finds a way to get under. This should help keep the heat and sun out on the hot days as it will cover the gap. Easy to install and take out. Good quality fabric. The storage bag was a nice bonus. It wasn't windy when I tried this but I do believe that some air will get through. I am also thinking of getting a guide rail for another part of the deck that doesn't have an awning. This would work great there as a sun sail. ... show more

I like that you're given a storage bag for storage but it's extremely cheap and I'm sure it won't last long. The exact flimsy little zipper cubes you get when buying new sheets. For the price this product should have a more durable bag like the reusable shopping totes. The little storage bag for hardware was nice and even if they created a larger oversized matching one for the actual shade you'd be better off. I'm not sure I can even fold it up this small between uses lol. I'll update the review after I test it out on my camper. ... show more

This awning side shade cloth will be really helpful to provide privacy and prevent sun from reaching the lawn chairs when we sit outside of the camper. It’s a great size, and a great thickness for both privacy and shade. I love that it comes with stakes and string so it’s not necessary to bring additional hardware to set it up. I also love that it comes in a clear carry bag. With so much camping gear it’s nice to have a protective case for the shade cloth but one that I can see through to tell what it is, even if it’s way back in the storage compartment, the grommets on the corners and sides are very well reinforced with an additional steel ring to provide good support, even in windy conditions. ... show more

The core that anchors the shade in the awning track is higher quality and firmly holds the shade. The shade is nicely sewn with canvas tabs and d rings for connecting to the ground and appears it will hold up well over time. Stakes, tie down cord, and velcro straps for securing the shade to the ground come in a nylon storage bag, but the stakes will need to be upgraded to something that will hold in wind. ... show more

Fits my 15 foot camper awning just right. Provides sun shade and privacy for the exposed "long side" and even comes with it's own carry bag and hardware for securing the base of the sun screen to the ground. The privacy screen material allows us to see out but you can't see in.
