It was the perfect thickness and firmness I was hoping for. The outer case is super soft if you want to use it without a pillow case of your own. It keeps its shape throughout the night. No more waking up to flip my pillow or adjust it. I can’t tell the difference between one side or the other. One is supposed to be cooling but not noticeable for me as I’m not a hot sleeper. I ordered two queen size pillows and they are wonderful they're not too soft and they're not too hard very nice I've received other pillows from other companies and they're awful either your head sinks all the way down to the mattress or it's so hard it gives you a headache and a neck ache at night these pillows come very packed but it's nice because you can unzip it and adjust it to what is your comfort level and they even come with an extra bag of stuffing so if you want it firmer you can put more stuffing inside I don't have a flat pillow in the morning the memory foam that's cut in pieces is very nice I was a little bit hesitant at first because I've never had a pillow that had memory foam cut up in it but I'm definitely in love it's very nice I'm very pleased and definitely don't hesitate to buy these they're definitely worth the price because the amount of money that you spend on these other cheap pillows and for the comfort you feel like you're really laying on something luxurious ... show more

    • It's the foam that smells, but there is a solution.

Like someone said, the smell. But it's the foam, not the cover. My solution is follow instructions given (toss in dryer 10 minutes on air) but toss several times with Trader Joes lavender sachets and unscented dryer sheets, fluffing in between. Then take some foam out and give it room to breathe. I use the extra foam for head support covers. I haven't slept with it yet, but at this point I can tell it's going to be comfy. There's enough foam in there plus the extra pack to use for two pillows! ... show more

    • Fixed my 3 week long neck pain in 2 nights

Had a crazy amount of neck pain out of nowhere a couple months ago. Just like a ‘crick in your neck’ kinda pain, but about 10x’s more painful. Tried everything for a couple weeks. Slept every way possible, no luck. Ordered two of these. Within two night all my neck pain was gone and it’s been a few months since. The shredded is nice. I’ve had solid memory foam pillows before and they were just too solid. This gives you the support level without feeling too hard, it still feels like a regular pillow. So, how these ended up as a Wirecutter review pick is wildly surprising to me, even if it was the “budget” pick. They’re clearly trying to pretend or at least elicit the vibe that they’re Purple-like — and they are not! Nothing like it! They fill with poly fiber, they are not memory foam in any way, they do not have any kind of cooling insert (the actual purple thing that Purple is known for). Had this pillow for awhile now, and the ability to add or reduce the filling is super great for me. I've had it for about 4 months now and haven't notice any degrading of the fluffiness or firmness. Honestly I'm about to order a second one because I like to sleep in a pillow nest.
