This not the best put-it-together-yourself project. It is an inexpensive cabinet that is not super sturdy. It does perform the job it was bought for which is to hold my wife's hobbies. One of the two I bought was missing a lock drum. the saving grace was that the other one had 4 extra.

Got this for my art supplies. There are only a few adjustable shelves. Most are screwed in place. The items that are photoshopped into the picture are deceiving as there is no way they would fit in there. The back is not solid it's that filmsy paper board. Overall it will serve its purpose but I don't expect it to last long. ... show more

There are some pros and some cons to this item. Will try to give a fair, unbiased review. First...and most important...Do not buy this if you don't have access to a power drill and someone to help you. It took me over three hours to do this by myself with a drill. I can't imagine doing this without one. The instructions just say that you need two screwdrivers and a rubber mallet. Also, it looks wider in the pictures posted so make sure you check the dimensions so that it fits in your space. Cons: Things are uneven, and I did everything I could to make sure all holes were drilled into as evenly as possible. (See picture for example of uneven door) The boards on the back of this are also uneven. Maybe if I had someone helping me they wouldn't be, but I found it impossible to get them into place and screwed in evenly. Metal rods for the door shelves were bent and I had to go find a tool to unbend them in order to get them in the holes. You need small handled tools. Some of the spaces for the screws were too small to get into with my larger tools, and the handles kept hitting other parts of the item. Pros: One you do get it together, minus the uneven doors and back, it is pretty. I just don't see how this item goes for $150. This was a gift from someone so I didn't pay for it...but I would in no way spend $150 on it. Maybe $75? It just isn't high enough quality to me for the price. This cabinet is perfect for storing my perfumes. I was looking for a cabinet that would enable me to see my collection all at once instead of forgetting about some and not using them at all. My perfumes are stored in dark cabinets so they would get hidden behind each other. This cabinet is shallow enough that I can put a spare of a scent behind the one in front - maybe 2! And the doors allow for more storage so that I can see even more at one time. The shelves have adjustable height - so that you can allow for some taller bottles. There are no windows which keeps it nice and dark and prevent damage to your perfumes. It is very sturdy - metal hinges/parts. It is not too tall nor, too short. I was worried I would need more space - I still have more of my collection to retrieve and put inside but, I think there will be plenty of room. My husband put it together for me - I don’t think I would have been able to do so myself. All in all this is perfect for my needs. It arrived sooner than predicted with no damage and no missing parts. I would purchase again if needed. ... show more

Set up was fairly easy but it does take some time to get it fully put together. Which is fair considering how many pieces it comes in. Doors work fine, slight binding but with some WD40 I was able to stop it from sticking. There was also a crack in the wood on the side of cabinet but I was able to cover it up fairly well an it’s not visible in the location I have it in. It is short and that’s my fault for not double checking it’s height. So items at the bottom are basically on the floor height. Going to try get a stand to put it on and it’ll be perfect.     • Metal locking bolts break easily

Assembly was hard because the round metal pieces that are used to lock in the corresponding metal bolt kept breaking very easily or were too loose (I'm sure there is a more accurate name for them but you use them throughout to construct it). Overall I was able to finish putting it together minus a few of the defective bolts. Too much weight on the door shelves will lower the door enough to cause rubbing against the bottom of the interior eventually leaving marks after a while from repeatedly opening and closing the cabinet door. Overall it looks nice but I was disappointed in the quality of the materials and the amount of storage space. ... show more

I had no problems putting it together.......took over 3 hours to assemble......lots of pieces.......not as big as I needed.......was careful not to put heavy items in it as it is pressboard or particle board so shelves will bow over time......was a little expensive but I needed storage asap......seems to be sturdy, stable....satisfied with this purchase ... show more

I procrastinated putting this together as some people said it was difficult and took hours on hours. I am about the worst person at directions and putting things together. This was easy. There are a ton of little parts but it's what makes this sturdy. It's exactly what I was looking for (which is why I bought it even after reading negative reviews) it's not very deep, and holds a little less cans than anticipated, but it's great. It's definitely sturdy and only took about 1.5 hours for me to assemble by myself. The instructions are also very easy to follow ... show more
