I was so excited for this drawstring sweater dress in what looked like a light gray in the photos, so calling the color "porpoise" made sense. When I received the dress, though, it was actually a drab, light brown--not even a little porpoise-y. So disappointing. I'll return.

This is definitely one of my top 5 Amazon clothing buys. I don’t love dealing with how robes come undone or open up, and I didn’t want to wear a Snuggie or muumuu around the house. But I wanted to be warm and cozy, but cute enough to answer the door if needed. Enter this perfect sweater!! It’s medium thickness… which is to say it’s perfect - not overly boxy or chunky, but also thick enough to be warm. I’m 5’4” and it hits lower calf like I wanted. Sleeves are plenty long for tall people - and I don’t mind bunching up or cuffing them. It’s soft, has tons of stretch, and feels awesome. I’m an XL/2X in most US clothing brands… in this I went with a 3x because I wanted to either have extra room, or at least not have to return it for hugging my belly… and it is perfect!! I probably could’ve gone 2x for a slightly more fitted silhouette- but since I’m using it for loungewear I’m happy with the extra room. Will probably buy 2 more. ... show more

    • Pretty and comfortable but high maintenance
I have a 51” hip and wanted something that would drape nicely and hang well from my frame. I ordered a 4x and it is perfectly oversized. The 4x isn’t at all fitted, it lightly skims my hip line and the silhouette is very chic for such a casual garment. The ordered the brown and it is a cool-toned, slightly muted brown. Because it is a synthetic knit I will have to be careful not to be too rough with it. I have worn it twice and there are already signs of wear where the strap of my purse sits on my shoulder, but that’s what I expected for a knit dress at this price point. It will take work to keep the dress looking nice, so I would skip this one if you need a garment that can take some abuse. ... show more
