So nice, bought them twice! For eons we had made due with the cheapo plastic black trash cans. The lids were broken and I was sick of being able to see our past sins mocking us. The bullet was bit. I had initially only ordered the one set (as another reviewer stated, "my trash can had a baby!"). Perfecto. New kitchen shiny, new baby bathroom shiny. Did the first initial purchase to see if it would be worth it for a secondary purchase to hold recycling. Lo and behold, the gods smiled, and now we have two parents and twins. The larger of the trash cans fits a standard bag no problem, same for the wee one (standard bathroom bag/plastic grocery bag, etc.). You will see the edges of the liners though, it is not a seamless look. There is an inner container that is easy to remove and rinse out as need be. We have a small kitchen so the front facing profile was perfect to fit in its designated home. Also being stainless, magnets! They will accumulate finger smudges and the like due to the nature of the beast, however that is an easy wipe down. Mine arrived double boxed and free from unsightly blemishes (plus now I have 4 new boxes to hold recycling). So far the foot pedestal remains ever vigilant in being able to keep open the gaping maw of my shiny trash eater. So, as far as trash cans go, I do not regret my decisions. As you know, it is a trash can.

Specifically bought this trash can to avoid the dogs popping it open and digging in themselves, plus wanted the black stainless to match the other appliances. It is absolutely great! So far, the dogs haven't figured it out and we've had it for a few months. It looks so sleek in our kitchen. Easy to change the bags after you realize the inner piece is removable :)

Great for small corner spaces - we use ours for recycling cans and glass and it's just the perfect size. My only note is that the step pedal really rapidly opens the top so I recommend putting a little pad on the top of it if it's up against a wall so the lid won't smack the wall without a softer padding.

Update 4/13/23: Kept this and just use with bag showing without modification so far. We like the unit but would still like to see the suggestions below changed for a 5 star product for us. Mechanism still going strong, like the lid stays up and just a couple inches of back clearance when open Cleans up easily and getting the job done. the small one is next to our Theater room recliners and is very useful for it's size. What good is a stylish stainless steel garbage can if you have to wrap the bag around the liner lip and is seen when lid is closed like in step 3 in description? If you wish to have the bag not seen the lip does not hold the several drawstring Glad bags well that we tried at all on ours, pain in the B to get the bag to hold without the bag being seen and still the bag slips. If the inner lip had a P lip it wold hold a bag and it would be hidden like the main page picture shows, no bag seen. Or just have the black trim piece on the top edge and have the inner plastic liner separate and lift out independently. Are we the only ones who do not want the bag seen? I should have paid closer attention to the description/ pictures. Or find black garbage bags? Otherwise for us this would be a 5 star can. The clever lifting mechanism allows for the lid to stay open or closed. We leave it open unless we have guests. That is a huge selling point for us. The foot pedal is tall/off the ground higher than most and takes a firm step to activate, not a problem for most adults. The finish looks great but only time will tell of it's lasting quality. The material is thin but needs to be on the lid for a lighter easier lift. We were looking for a model with just an inner lid for zero back clearance that raised and not an entire cap/cover that has to have more clearance from wall, but the size and shape of the can fit perfect for our needs. I would also have liked for the product description to have that the bottom is open and not solid. Easier for spiders and bugs to get in if you have bug problems like many climates/areas do. The smaller unit we are still thinking where to put it. Shipping packaging was impeccable on my unit, double boxed and extra thick boxes. Trying to decide if I want to return or modify. Dremel the corners to make a slot for the bag string to hold or keep using an XL rubber band for the bag to hold onto. I also have commercial door bumpers I could cut down/drill a hole and put on the corners that would hold well also. Or 3M 1/4" trim tape or weather stripping on the rim/corners.......

I love these trash bags. They smell awesome and fit my stainless steel trashcan perfectly. Very strong bags, better than the national brands. I don't think the drawstring top part is as tight as the originals that came with my trashcan, but they work fine. Will keep buying these.
