These bags may not be pricy, but they act like they are! These are as good or better than the heavy hitting name brands! Conversely, the bags I get at the store are that price, but thin and weak bags! I was sooooo pleasantly surprised and impressed when I pulled out my first bag! These are not nearly as durable as Hefty. My fingernail went right through the bag. And they have a HORRIBLE chemical smell! I bought them for storage and am afraid they will make the clothes stink too. I'm letting the bags air out for a while to see if they smell better. If not, I'll use them for trash. Big Value, Reliable Strength – These Trash Bags Deliver I’ve been using the Amazon Basics Multipurpose Drawstring Trash Bags (30-gallon, 50 count) and they’ve become my go-to for everyday household cleanup. At this price point, they’re hard to beat. The bags are generously sized, fit perfectly in my large trash can, and can handle a full load of bulky trash without stretching to the point of tearing. The material is strong enough to handle heavier items—yard clippings, boxes, even messy kitchen waste—without leaks or rips. The red drawstring is a nice touch, making it easy to close up tightly and carry out without worrying about spills. I’ve stuffed these bags pretty full and they still held up, which is exactly what I want in a large-capacity bag. One thing to keep in mind: while they’re sturdy, I wouldn’t test them with sharp objects like broken glass or jagged metal, since no plastic bag is really designed for that. But for general household and yard use, they’re excellent. They’re also unscented, which I prefer since I don’t like artificial “fresh” smells masking trash.
