As pictured! It's MUCH better looking than most barriers! I use it on a staircase with no wall on one side, only open railing, so I had to use a free standing gate. My 5 month old pup is currently ~23 lbs and does investigate it, but one week in and she hasn't successfully knocked it over yet. If she were allowed unsupervised access for long enough, she'd eventually figure out how though. I also put the gate on the second step going up, rather than the floor in front of the stairs. That kind of gives it kind of a 'bubble of protection' on the floor from accidental bumps and also effectively makes it ~6 inches taller. If your dog is/will be over ~15-20 lbs you'll still need some supervision and training if you intend this gate to serve as a permanent/unsupervised barrier. ... show more

This is our favorite dog "gate" in the house. It's only 19" tall - so only good for small dog. we have an 8lb shih tzu and he cannot jump over it. It's good quality wood, great design and can step over it without killing myself (I'm only 5'4"). Fits perfect in out wall upstairs to keep him out on the bedrooms. This gate is a good weight, so it won’t tip over as easily as a lightweight gate. It’s designed where it accordions: folds Jacob’s Ladder style. This zig zag footprint is what keeps the gate upright without being supported on either side.

I have a 20 pound dog who has taken a liking to bolt out the front door. This gate is perfect height. I have it in my hallway between front door and kitchen entrance. It sways opens and closes very easily. It is exactly what I was looking for and it looks great!

We have a small dog who still has accidents and were looking for a solution to keep him out of the hallway leading to our kid's rooms (the only rooms with carpets). We had originally bought the standard pressure-mounted, swing baby gate but decided to return it because it would be inconvenient & damage our walls - plus it wasn't very pretty to look at. Like it so far. Our dog is mostly obedient but needs a barrier when she gets hyper. This works, but we needed to attach it to the wall so she didn't knock over. Update: we didn't end up needing to attach it. I your dog isn't a wild thing, you should be fine.

I am buying another one right now as this is the best barrier for our needs. It may be pricey but it folds easily bc it has hinges to hold 3 panels. It’s lightweight. When not in use, i store it under the bed for easy pull out. Best purchase.
