One year in...and it just keeps getting better!
I purchased this device with VERY little HA knowledge. I just knew that I was tired of "this API" and "that API" being deprecated and removing permissions across Alexa and/or Google Home devices. So I researched and looked for a way to get an HA device where I could incorporate Kasa smart devices, my Konnected GDO, my Nest thermostats, my SimpliSafe alarm system, and all of the other IoT devices in my house into one place. This was that place. Not only was I able to incorporate all of my devices into a single app, but I was able to leverage Claude and ChatGPT to build some very amazing, complex, and intricate dashboards--for mobile and for desktop viewing. Once I got the dashboards tweaked--and you are never really 'done' with them--I then started looking at a way to incorporate my now-defunct Tidbyt into the mix. This is an internet connected digital pixel display that you can add apps to for all sorts of functionality. Tidbyt went kaput and the apps slowly began to disappear. Tronbyt came along and took all functionality and apps and put it into a user format that was easily installed. I looked into moving the Tronbyt piece into my HA Green, so after reading up, I took the plunge. An hour later, Tronbyt saved my Tidbyt device and brought all functionality and apps back! So I now have Tronbyt *and* HA running on the HA Green and it's still only using about 8GB of storage and less than 2GB of RAM. This little device isn't life-changing, but it certainly makes everything easier! One app for everything, plus I now have my Tidbyt back and all of my stock tickers, weather info, sports tickers, and everything else back! And did I mention it's accessible outside of my double-NAT network using the Casa Nabu cloud function? So the app works OUTSIDE of my house, too! This thing does it all and then some!

A wonderful little device that is as powerful as you want it to be.
I was a little overwhelmed when I first setup my Home Assistant green. It becomes obvious pretty quickly at how truly powerful this device is. It can be simple and basic if thats what you want. But if you are curious and willing to invest the time, the power at your fingertips will blow your mind. I started with a basic dashboard that displayed the few smart devices that I had, but soon I was diving headfirst into customizing the information that is shown and learning how to make it work with Alexa. Fast forward a year and I now have over 60 devices that is under its control. It works flawlessly and soon you will be installing Hacs and adding integrations that make it work for you. The customization is only limited by your imagination and I find myself tinkering with it daily. It's not work but more of a guilty pleasure. If you pull the trigger and purchase the Home Assistant green you will not regret it!

Magic at your fingertips, 1, 2, 3.
The product came as advertised. Well packaged and appealing. Easy to install and this is really plug and play. A nice touch is the power plug section which has adapters for most countries so no additional adapters required. Connectivity to current systems and discovery of devices within the home is like magic, when you look it is there. For beginners it is well worth noting that you may have to connect your ESPHome device directly to the Home Assistant Green hub, to flash the ESP for the first time. It does not seem to compile for the USB device on your computer. All in all a really great product

Does not import Alexa Smart Switches, Plugs, Etc
I have a home with a fully functioning Alexa system and over 30 alexa devices. My vision was to import all of these, along with Zigbee and other Wi-Fi devices, into a common dashboard. Home Assistant Green does exactly what it's supposed to and it is a fantastic product but I ended up returning it. I was going to have to replace a large investment of Alexa switches and plugs so I decided to just cancel the project. I wish I had known because I had started to invest in Zigbee and running two systems just makes the problem that I had even worse.

I can recommend this for beginners into IoT Home Automation
I found it very easy to get going with home automation having this unit. It was worth the extra bit to avoid all the hassle. After a few weeks using it, and installing plug-ins like Node-RED, I can say I'm very happy with this purchase. I would recommend this to my friends and family.

Awesome product, as powerful and versatile as you want it to be.
I've been looking at home automation for a while, but didn't buy anything because the Amazon and Apple and others require an Internet connection and export your requests to their servers. I look at Home Assistant a while back and I was thinking of doing a Raspberry with the software, but I was too busy so didn't do it. Finally I bought the Green with the Zigbee bridge and a quad set of Amazon Matter smart plugs. Prior to setting it up, I read up on the documentation, maybe two hours all told. I also read up on other people in Internet Forums that are using it for a myriad of applications. I loved the guy who did it so the menus in his tablet change as he walks from room to room of his house... and the guys who actually set them up to control their Home Theaters... Once I got it, it took me all of two hours, playing with it, to set up two of the plugs. It was easy. And then I found out that many of my devices, TVs, WiiM, etc... already support it.. Needless to say, I bought a bunch more plugs and soon will buy the lamps. This thing is extremely powerful and I think you can go very deep into it... Reading the one start reviews... well, clueless people who are over their heads. Simple as that. Again, three things that are superb: (1) No Internet required to run it, it's all done in your own server. (2) Supports several standards. (3) Huge support community. It's not geeky, it just requires Reading The F. Manual. EDIT: BTW, you still need a bluetooth connection to configure some devices, so the use of the phone is essential. I got the software running -off a web interface- on my PC (managing), Android Tablet (every body's control) and my own Android Cell phone. In two days, I set up six lamps in three separate rooms in the house with timed "actions" to turn ON and OFF. The amount of effort that has gone into this is staggering actually. I've barely scratched the surface and the fact that it's not bound to a manufacturer it's awesome. Another thing. make sure your phone and device are on the same WiFi SSID when you bring up a Matter device, it seems like the SSID connection is transferred from the phone to the Matter device over Bluetooth on initial configuration. In my house we have four SSIDs, a mesh and a non mesh, so heads up. The Wired side of Home Assistant Green is faultless, although I might work on giving it a static IP address. By default, all you need to do is plug ethernet and power and wait five minutes. The Zigbee add on took a bit more, but it's all IN THE MANUALS... I can't say this loud enough... with this device, RTFM... There is so much, it's mind boggling.

Worst piece of tech I've ever introduced into my smart home
I have an incredibly robust smart home which is mostly Matter/Thread devices and this seemed like a good next step in my adventures to automate and create cool dashboards, while still allowing the family to use Apple Home as their frontend but after two days of fighting with getting a small sample size of my hundreds of devices onboarded, I ultimately gave up. Anyone who says this is rock solid clearly isn't leveraging Matter or Thread in their smart home setup. I have encountered very few issues with my Thread network composed of Apple TVs, Homepod Minis, and a few Aqara cameras and hubs with hundreds of endpoints and FTDs over the years but the second I set this up, it wrecked the entire Thread. TBRs started creating new networks and hopping around, tearing down communications and never healing. I removed it from the equation and everything cleared up near-instantly. Other than a few Matter bridges, I was never able to get a single Matter over WiFi device to join this using multi-admin. It's a cool concept and it works really well integrating with a few APIs and Cloud accounts, but it is very limited in what you can onboard that way, even with community support. This is absolutely not designed for the modern smart home and shouldn't even be advertising Matter support with the way it is haphazardly put together. To be fair, if my house had all Zigbee instead of Thread, this review might be written completely different. This is also far from the easiest way to set things up, so if you're not tech literate and just getting started out, steer well clear. Very disappointed tech addict over here.

Handy little unit
I bought this, looked at the interface, then just left it minimally configured for a long while...until I started digging into it with AI. Now I can't stop thinking of things to implement/automate and learning lots. Love it!
