    • Extremely Beautiful but Very Cheap Materials
A lot of the wood is very hollow feeling… Meaning it’s not actually hollow, but it is very fragile wood. It’s definitely not sturdy. That being said, I was able to put it together relatively easily because it was easy to drill the screws in since the wood wasn’t that strong. It also made me afraid though that it would fall apart or rip out. It did take me a very long time to put together, but I took my time over multiple days and it was not hard at all to put together. The instructions are extremely clear. All in all, I think it’s a very beautiful bed, and for the price, I am really glad I bought it. I knew it was a shot in the dark but I didn’t like what any other bed looked like besides this one and it was definitely within my budget. I don’t know how well it will hold up, but I really like the look of it and it matches my other furniture and looks great. I would also add though, that multiple pieces came broken… Mainly small dowels and I didn’t even need to use all of them, so that was OK. However, one of the main pieces came halfway split down the middle and I had to use wood glue and clamps to glue it back together before drilling through the center of it and hoping it wouldn’t crack. So, I don’t think they did a good job building the bed with the materials that they chose… But the design is absolutely flawless and I love it. I was also glad to see that the headboard is relatively easily detachable, so that when I move, I can take the headboard off and move the base and the headboard in two separate pieces… That makes it a lot easier. For the price of the bed, I am honestly not surprised that the wood is not very high-quality. I am a bit disappointed that one of the pieces came severely broken, but I was able to fix it so that’s good. What I was going to say though is that for the price, it makes sense that the wood is not very high quality, and once you put it together, you wouldn’t know the difference. Meaning that, although it is not very sturdy, it looks absolutely beautiful and does not look cheap at all. It looks like a very, very nice bed. All in all I am very pleased but I do suggest the company work on making sure all the pieces are not broken first ... show more

    • It's an Aesthetic Purchase
I bought this in spite of the reviews and photos saying how questionable the frame was because it's so cute. And IT IS. It's super cute, I love it. It arrived with two pieces broken, but customer service wasn't bad and they shipped me replacement pieces no problem! Assembly took me about three hours by myself and for the most part it's fine, but would recommend a second person and a drill. The pieces are solid wood, nothing is really composite wood. That being said, it's very hard to secure the spindles on the headboard all the way. Mine shake a little and make noise anytime the bed is jostled, overall minor. The bedslats seemed sturdy to me at first, but a few of them have broken (took one of the other reviewers suggestions and bought some slats from Ikea and it's perfect). Finally, there is just no way I'll ever be able to disassemble and reassemble this frame when I move. This frame comes with SO MANY pieces. It was the one thing I didn't take into consideration in terms of cost effectiveness. Still, so dang cute. Overall I am really happy with this bed, but I won't be surprised if it doesn't last long. ... show more

    • Frustrating but Well Worth the Hassle

I was weary to purchase this bed after reading some reviews that said the set up was near impossible and the end result was not worth it. I disagree! The set up was difficult and you have to be sure to pay attention to every little instruction while assembling. It took me about 5 hours in total, with about an hour spent back tracking because I made a simple mistake while assembling. That being said, when I finally got it all put together (the right way) it turned out amazing. I don’t find it to be creeky or unstable at all. The spindles are individually attached at the bottom so they don’t move around. The walnut color perfectly matches other walnut finishes in my room. Overall I think this bed is worth the price, just be prepared to spend lots of brain power and time building it. ... show more

    • Took 10 man hours to assemble, but it’s pretty
People are not being dramatic. The piece is really pretty and sturdy—- but it took two of us 5 hours each to assemble it—- for a grand total of 10 man hours. The instructions were not the most clear and you must assemble every single spindle, leg, the sides and slats, It was in as many pieces as possible, about a million screws… it takes a hex wrench which can’t spin around the whole ways for some of it… really truly… and that’s with a power tool. They say not to use a power tool but it would’ve taken us much longer without it. It’s pretty, but I just need you to know before you make the decision to purchase this thing. I thought people were being dramatic, but they weren’t… ... show more

    • Well, one feels very accomplished after assembling.
This is a great looking bed. Love the style. Very tedious and time-consuming to assemble, but the instructions were very clear, so it just takes some time. Be ready to put on some calming music, maybe grab a beer, because it'll take a good 4-5 hours if you do it alone. That's not really so much a gripe though, as the bed is very sturdy. From reading some other reviews I can't imagine what shortcuts someone may have taken to make this bed feel anything but beefy and sturdy. My tiny complaint is that 2 of the holes that attach the headboard to the frame weren't drilled correctly, but I'm sure there's something I can come up with to fix that. All in all, great looking bed. ... show more

    • A bit long
Its a bit on the long side; had to put some extra pillows between the headboard and the mattress (queen) if we wanted it to reach the the foot of the bed and not show the support boards. Not a problem if youve already got a lot of pillows because it's actually super comfy now, but it was pain in the butt to have to order more just for that. Other than that, a good bed, seems sturdy, took a long time to put together but was relatively easy. Had some dings in the wood but expected that for the price. ... show more
