This is my second one, the first one lasted 10 years. I accidently got water in the motor section. I would recommend that the trays to have tighter grid, as some of my tiny grapes fell through when they I was making raisins. the unit works flawlessly. I recommend it.

With this dehydrator and just a few batches or so, it will have paid for itself making beef jerky Me and my family love love love beef jerky but I can’t get spend the F you buy it anywhere you go so I like to get my meat on special have the butcher slice it then about a quarter inch on the green I have a special marinade I use it did take quite some time to make it and I had to babysit at how bad by changing around the trays so they were using the dehydrated I used nonstick cooking spray on the trays before ice stop the meat on them for easy cleanup and it worked very well. The only problem is it didn’t go to 160° like it’s supposed to it just went to 158 debris but nobody got sick so I guess that’s OK. ... show more

The dehydrator was packed very well, easy to clean and set up. We just got it so we’ve only made one item so far. Our dog loves the dehydrated sweet potatoes that come in small packages and cost a lot, so we decided to try making our own dehydrated sweet potatoes. Not only did she like them, she liked them better than the store bought. We’re looking forward to dehydrating figs, apricots, cherries, tomatoes and everything else for us humans. ... show more

Received yesterday, and used right after cleaning. Had already prepped some beef for jerky and 4 1/2 hours later it completed to perfection. I should add, the packing of this machine was top notch. I believe it could have with stood being booted from delivery truck and would have been unscathed. I don't recall ever receiving a package that the product was this protected. Even when I ordered my camera and the various lenses from Nikon wasn't as protected as this item was! ... show more

The Dehydrator works great. This is our 3rd dehydrator and thou it is smaller than the others it is powerful. It runs almost 24 hours a day in the summer dehydrating vegetables from the garden.
