This was a life saver for my mom who had just completed her 2nd hip surgery. She is 84 years old. It was affordable for the type of recliner (electrical recline AND lift). Chair reclines when the feet go up, would be nice if you could just put feet up. Small chair more for a child or a 4'9" adult. It is a good chair but the directions to put it together was just a picture.

UPDATE... 1 star at best. My father had dementia so he never used the massage control - I didn't even attach it to the chair. I have the chair in my home now and have recently started using it. I've been sitting in it for about an hour a day for at the most 2-3 months and already one of the massage units is not working. So now it's only massaging one side of the back. I would not recommend this chair... it's not worth the money. What good is a low price if the chair only lasts 3-4 months? Now I have the problem of getting it out of my house to get rid of. ORIGINAL REVIEW... I received my chair - but it appeared that the controls and wires were missing. I contacted the company - asking JUST for the missing parts and they would NOT just send me the missing parts. I received another complete chair!!!! Fortunately, this one had the controls included. I have to warn anyone that buys this chair - the controls are attached to the underneath of the chair (by zip ties) way to the front by where your feet would be. If it were not for someone helping me lift this chair out of the box spotting the small cardboard box attached way to the front - I would have thought that this chair did not come with the controls either. All in all - the chair is perfect for my father who is a small man (5')... and it works as advertised. I'm very happy with the chair - but the aggravation and stress the missing parts caused me were unnecessary. What do I do with a 2nd (very heavy) recliner/lift chair with no controls? The chair itself, and even the customer service gets 5 stars... their policy of refusing to send just the missing parts.... 3 stars at best. ... show more

I needed a lift chair that also reclines after my tummy tuck surgery. I was on the fence about this chair but decided to give it a try. The chair is comfortable and well made. It was easy to assemble and get situated. The fabric is true to color and appears durable. The controls are basic and easy to operate. The only real concern is the chair is small. This happened to work well in my situation since my space is small and I am also not a very large person. If you are bigger this chair will not be a good fit (no pun intended). I was a little nervous to order this, but I am so glad we did! What a deal! This chair can life him up to stand, power reclines, vibrates, and has heat! What a score!
