The product is not difficult to use and worked well on a tub to restore the luster and sheen that was lost over the last 70 years. The bathtub was not stained or chipped. On tubs that are in poor condition, I suspect that a lot of sanding would be necessary to get good results. The contractor who was remodeling my bathroom did the job and had used the product numerous times. Be aware that the smell is atrocious. Make sure you are able to open windows for good ventilation. A fan helps also to direct the fumes out of a window. Nevertheless, the odor will spread to any room that you’re not able to close off to block the odor, and will take several hours or overnight for the smell to disappear, depending on how well you are able to ventilate the bathroom. ... show more

My husband bought this to re-do our tub kit and he followed the directions carefully, however the 2 cans only covered 1/4 of the tub, what it did cover had drips. He had to order 3 more boxes to finish the job. If you have breathing issues like do its best to plan on being out of the house for at least 12 hrs. Make sure all windows are open and have a fan. the chemical smell stayed in the entire upstairs of our bi-level until the next morning. we slept downstairs with our dogs and cat in the family room. Be sure to wear a good mask and not the cheap ones, and good gloves. This product is over priced for sure.. actually it would have been cheaper after buying more cans, gloves mask to replace the darn tub. ... show more

The product is good for very small sink diy not a bathtub. I had to purchase it twice because I didn’t realize the first set was defected and more powdery then the glossy even though I’ve shaken it properly. The residues flys everywhere if you don’t close and seal the area although be careful with not inhaling the spray and have the hazmat on with proper air ventilation, it could be a danger to your health. Overall it takes over a week to properly coating the bathtub and let it dry and do it again! I’d say just don’t do it. I’m not sure if it will work or not. ... show more

I order for a Christmas gift for my Mother on law. She had purchased one at a bug box store but needed another to complete her project. When she tried to use the one I bought her, it wouldn't spray. I tried to do a return but no returns on this item but I had the option of contacting the manufacturer. There wasn't an option for home improvement. Only options for contractors or drywall specialists and other professional installers. I'm sure the product is fine but it will not spray. ... show more

It used to have a part B can of hardener. Though two cans of A go farther it was Four days before I could safely use the bathroom. Without hardener the drying process is much longer.
