The media could not be loaded. This little HS 710 is a great entry point into the GPS category. Its decent battery life, strong motors, and adequate range is only hampered by its lack of electronic image stabilization. The Holy Stone 710 comes in a sturdy little carrying case that holds everything you'd need if taking this on the go. I like how everything has its own neat compartment. The two included batteries charge by usb c which is much appreciated. Charge time from exhausted is about 2 1/2 hours. The controller holds my iphone 13 pro max just barely. It runs on 2 AA batteries and has an indicator for the charge level. Max flight time is listed at 23 mins, and I've been getting pretty close roughly 19 mins or so. If you're flying conservatively you could probably reach that number though. Range is 600 meters and WIFI fpv is 300 meters. Connection is decent and I've been at 600 meters with wifi fpv a few times, usually cuts off around 350 meters or so. I bought some Yagi-Uda antennas (5.8 ghz) and the connectivity and range has improved. to 800+ meters!! The 4k camera has pretty good quality, photos and videos record to full resolution when you add a micro sd card in the drone. However, with no gimbal or EIS video is kind if shaky at times and would be greatly improved with electronic image stabilization. But at this price, you're getting a pretty sweet deal. The 710 comes in at a little less than 249 grams, so you wont have to worry about registering with the FAA. It's return to home works as it should, just note that you need to perform a compass calibration and have at least 7+ satellites for this to work. This is my 2nd 710. The first had an issue with its GPS, but Holy Stone went above and beyond in making sure that its customers are taken care of, this level of service is seldom seen and speaks volumes about Holy Stones commitment to its products and customers! All in all the 710 is a pretty good entry into the GPS category. It takes good pictures and videos and my only grip is lack of EIS.     • Great Beginner Drone with Extra Features
I've had smaller FPV drones, but have had difficulty with managing flight and video in even slightly windy conditions as I have to account for that. This drone, it has an intelligent hover capability; put the controls at neutral, and the drone will hover in place compensating for the wind. I also like it's return home feature, which makes it easy to land, and keeps me safe if I loose sight of it. The camera provides good pictures/video and I really like the ability to adjust the downward angle. The camera is otherwise fixed, so you get movement in the video, but the quality is good, and for the price, this system is complete with features. I downgraded a star because when returning home on a windy day, it seems to have trouble determining the landing spot, it will circle rapidly the spot, and needs to be briefly under manual control before landing. I tried the automatic map movements and didn't have enough height. It handled collision and falling from a tree well. Finally, the battery is giving me over 20 minutes of flight time, which is nice, and it came with two batteries and a nice soft side case. ... show more

    • Unfortunate Purchase
New item packed well. Came with only one battery. However the battery would not hold a full charge, flight time was less than five minutes. This item is being returned. (new or replacement batteries are not available). This was my second HS710. My first one purchased new some years ago came with two batteries, additional batteries were available then. It was a great little entry-level drone at that time. This drone weighs less than 250g and so was not required to be registered with the FAA. Too bad that this didn't work out, I really enjoyed my first drone. ... show more

    • HS710 Is a Tough Little Bird
This little drone has really earned its worth and reliability. On Thanksgiving we flying it out the farm when a thunderstorm popped up. By mistake…I hit the land button, parked it on top of a 60’ Oak Tree, overnight express parking you could say. That drone set in the top of that tree until today. It was exposed to very heavy rains and cold winds for 8 days. I figured it was a total write off due the drenching it had taken for 3 days. Once it was retrieved by bow and arrow with a fishing line trail connected to 200’ of ski rope she came on down. Gave it a good visual inspection, put in a charged battery and wouldn’t you know it, she flys again! Zero damage done getting her down too. All 8 props are still in really great shape to boot. I know it’s not water resistant and expected the worse outcome. Holy Stone did it right when building the little 710 as she’s been proven to me to be tough little bird! At this point I would recommend in Holy Stone product. Well worth the price, and very forgiving. ... show more
