Description

The Off-Road Truck Avenger is designed specifically for off-road applications. The unique fuel metering block eliminates fuel spillover through the boosters at extreme angles allowing for 40 degree climbing, 30 degree side hill maneuvers and nose-down descents to avoid hesitations, stalling and flooding typically associated with carbs in an off-road environment. The Truck Avenger features a quick change vacuum secondary for easy fine tuning; four vacuum ports for all necessary vacuum accessories; factory preset electric choke for easy start ups; and a built-in fuel filter.

Let me guess, your motor isn't running right and you're tired of leaky carbs and rebuild kits? Yeah, I was too. My old Holley 600cfm on my 72 Bronco with a 351W was constantly having issues and leaking. The truck ran rough and I couldn't figure it out. Bought this Truck Avenger 670, bolted it on and hooked up the linkage. That's it. Aside from turning the idle screw a couple times I haven't touched it for months. The Bronco runs like a raped ape now and idles smooth and strong. Very impressed with this carb. Haven't wheeled it on any steep inclines yet but I'm sure it will perform well. Highly recommend this one. Looked at several from Holley, Edelbrock, etc and glad I went with this one. ... show more

We put this carburetor on our truggy, replacing an Edlebrock. We had problems before with steep inclines causing our old carb to flood. The Truck Avenger has performed flawlessly on the steepest hills - scary, rocky climbs in low range with the engine idling right up. This carb worked as advertised straight out of the box. It bolted in place and every thing fit perfectly. The only adjustment that was needed was to go down one step with the jets because of the altitude where I live (above 2000 ft.). I used to experience a drop in engine rpm's just going over a speed bumper. Now I can 4 by it over the roughest terrain without the engine even a skipping a beat. The carb is pricey but worth the peace of mind knowing that the engine is not going to stall simply because the terrain is a little uneven. ... show more

    • Ethanol fuels play havoc with this carburetor
Bought this for my 1986 F350 farm truck. As a professional mechanic the install was fairly easy, came with everything I needed and the carb worked well. Unfortunately, I infrequently use the truck and it was parked for about three months. Tried to start the truck and found I wasn't getting fuel. Removed the carb and found the main jets clogged with varnish fuel deposits. Cleaned everything out and truck ran fine again. Two months later no fuel again, this time not only by gas varnish, but the rubber gaskets between the bowls, jet plates & main body had all disintegrated. After a $30 rebuild kit I drained both fuel tanks, replaced the filters & put in fresh gas and the truck ran great again. Two months later it plugged up again, I sold the truck to someone who could afford to run it daily and put in non-ethanol fuel. The open nature of these carbs over time allows moisture into the bowls (drawn in by the ethanol) then the gas evaporates and leaves a mess behind. I gave it three stars because I think the internal gaskets should hold up better to the 10% ethanol now in almost all fuels. ... show more

This was a deal I knew was to good to be true...........till it came in ups. I was amazed this was great carb right out the box, adjust the idle ,a quarter turn on the idle mixture screws and I was wheelie on the craziest hills & rocks.The carb is on my 76 CJ-5 304 SITTIN ON DANA 60'S 36" SWAMPERS AND LOCKED 5.13 GEARS.This was the best price by far!!I could find on a new 670 cfm Truck Avenger HOLLEY. ... show more

I purchased this carb for my 79 Bronco (351M) that I use for offroad use. This carb is the next best thing to propane or fuel injection. I have had this truck in some hairy situations and I have had no stumbles out of this carb. This is a great carb and I dont even like carbs!
