Great seal for garage. I went through a couple of products before finding this. The key is knowing your door will take a 5/16” T channel. I struggled with 1/4 inch T channel products. This went on Sooo much easier. Use an old sprayer filled w soapy water and find a friend (or your wife) to help. This took 20 min for 16’ garage door. Great high quality product. ... show more

This works great. Really helped us close large gap under garage door. Unfortunately I didn't realize 2 things when I ordered. 1) this does not come with the metal track 2) my garage did not have a metal track. Nothing against the product, just didn't pay close attention. Had to order track separately and this slid in fairly easily. Had plenty of material, with some left over so good fit. ... show more

I was looking forward to getting this seal. Very nice. Strong and helpful with the garage floor that is not perfectly level. I will say though you need 2 people to put this on. Once you get it started it goes smoothly with one guiding and one pulling through the chamber.

My cheap vinyl garage door bottom weatherstrips were fraying. I bought one 20' piece of this item to use on two 9' doors. I removed the channel from one door for better access to cleaning the grooves, and to make applying the soap easier while inverted. Regardless, I had to summon my neighbor to help me pull it through the last couple of feet. I lubricated the other door channel's grooves by filling them with graphite powder, then wiped some powder onto that part of the weatherstrip. (This was done on my driveway; the graphite was hosed away without residue.) Upon installation, the graphite had made it so relatively slippery that I was able to pull it through without assistance. (Still, it would have been easier with a helper to fold/bend/hold the uninstalled portion into the proper shape and position. So, I say to plan on a helper, as the instructions recommend.) My 21' piece came with only 2 hard foam plugs for one door, but I had divided it to accommodate two doors, so I needed 2 more plugs. I thought of buying some rubber stoppers at the hardware store, but remembered that I had some 3/4" diameter polyethylene backer rod, used to stuff into deep cracks before caulking; it worked perfectly. ... show more

Installation was easy. Just slid into track. Gave this 1-start because as you can see from attached pics, it appears the seal has areas that are not making contact with the ground, which allows water in on one end of my garage door and a portion slightly away from the center. This was not an issue with the old seal I removed. I verified with a level that the floor and door were level when seated. I thought the seal just needed time to expand fully, but after a week with some days reaching in the 60s, their is still a noticeable gap in these areas, as can be seen from the light leakage. ... show more

Heavy duty compared to original seal , seems to be mouse proof and creates a tight seal. Given its thickness and quality rubber/design, however, it is somewhat more difficult to install. Have extra pair of hands and lots of spray dish soap available!
