The Walnut is a popular wood used in many musical instruments. ► The neck in this guitar is made of Mahogany. ► TUSQ Nut - The Nut in this Guitar is TUSQ's. In most beginner guitars , the nut is made out of plastic. The nut directly influences the tone and sound of the guitar as it is in direct contact with the strings! ► D'Addario Strings - We installed D'Addario EXP16 Coated Phosphor Bronze strings - Just tune up to pitch and you're ready to play! I got the sunburst yesterday, and it's absolutely awesome! The sound is really nice and loud, especially for a 3/4 guitar size, and can out-volume my brother's full-size guitar. A very bright sound, not dull. It stays in tune really well, after the first few tunings the first day, which is to be expected as new strings need some time to adjust. The neck is a little fatter than my brother's full-size, but not uncomfortable. The action is very comfortable and I haven't had to adjust it. Overall, I think it's a beautiful instrument and well worth the price. The strap is very comfortable, and I like how it hooks to a bolt at the base of the neck instead of having to tie it. The picks are nice and thick, not like some cheap bendy ones I've seen. The gig bag is really nice -- it's padded both on the straps and the inside of the bag, and comfortable to wear like a backpack. I chose not to use the pick guard because it messes up the design of the black on the sunburst, and it felt flimsy. Overall, highly recommended! ... show more

WARNING! DO NOT make the same mistake i did, of purchasing thisguitar w/ one of the main reasons being the advertised free lessons that are included. NO FREE LESSON(S) GIVEN. i purchased for my 13yrold niece who i was so happy to hear, wanted me to teach her to how to play. i previously bought her one of those "beginners" acoustic kit that stores like Target sell etc a couple years ago but decided to give her an upgraded one since she had shown me she was very serious about wanting to learn. i chose this particular product mainly for it's lessons they boast about cuz at the end of the day, I'm not a professional teacher, there's so much she can learn from a credited professional and i would be there w her every step of the way. so her bday was Nov 29 and i have her her gift, she loved it. i was looking so fwd to the coming weeks as we'd take the necessary steps to begin her journey to musicianship. boy was i wrong. no instructions on how to obtain these "free lessons" and I'm stuck w having to support this disgraceful/dishonest company because as much as i would love to get my moneyback and purchase from an established brand knowing it would last her for yrs to come, i simply can't takeaway her gift from her. it's not her fault this company has no shame in lying to everyone. so ALL i can do is hope this review saves as many people possible, from making the mistake of supporting a company who couldn't care less of con-ing and taking hard earned money from the people who buy into their lies. Do yourself a favor and invest your money in quality, not lies. ty for your time ... show more

Acoustic guitars are really expensive. Using Amazon Points I was able to get one for well under $100. I really like it the smaller guitar is great and I am an older learner. I play the ukulele for a while and just wanted to take the next step. Just as a stress reliever it's perfect. It seems the promise lessons are hard to come by and that's pretty weak. ... show more

I play guitar for a living and bought this instrument for my 7-year-old after a good experience with a gig bag from Hola! Music. This little guitar is fantastic! I taught elementary students to play guitar and for several years recommended the Yamaha Jr 1–a very nice little instrument in its own right. But this Hola! guitar is in another category altogether. It’s finished beautifully, tuned well, plays really well, and sounds great! I’ve recently played both the Yamaha Jr 1 and a Taylor GS Mini (which I love), and this guitar seems more akin to the Taylor than the Yamaha. I highly recommend it for young beginners and veteran players alike. Would make quite a decent travel guitar. ... show more
