Our first monitor was very basic and since we’re expecting baby #2 this spring I wanted to upgrade to 2 cameras. The initial 2 camera with split screen and the tilt/rotation feature I got had horrible night time video quality. Worst than our initial one we had. So I went back on Amazon to try find another set that had better video quality. Other important features I wanted was the no app/wifi and wanted to try stay around $100 range. I had bought 2 cameras to test out and between this hohoo brand and another brand that was 30 cheaper, I really liked the hohoo brand. The video quality was soo much better esp at night. I got it on sale for 110. So I’ll be returning the other 2 I had tested out. At first one thing I didn’t like on the monitor was there was no quick easy way to change the volume/brightness. You have to select it through the menu option. Then our 2yo was playing with it and found a shortcut by pressing the speaker button it allows you to change the volume/brightness using the keypad which is great. So this monitor was by far the best that I tired out between 2 other brands. Mainly the video quality was the biggest decision making factor. I haven’t had any issues with the buttons not working or delaying as some other reviews I’ve seen. It’s very easy to switch from 1 camera to the other or using the split screen. Cons: when you’re turning the screen back on while it’s off, it does take the video some time to adjust and come to view but it’s not a huge deal. I also wish that the camera plug ins that go into the outlet were more flesh against the wall. It’s a usb cord that plugs directly into the plug which ends up sticking out of the wall pretty far. So it makes it difficult if the plug is behind a furniture. Some other reviews I’ve read from other people about the battery life not being what it’s advertised for. We honestly haven’t really left it off the charger that long, but it works perfectly fine for what we need for now. I was a little weary since I never heard of the company before but the monitor and cameras are wonderful! They're so easy to use, great quality, and have been easy to keep an eye on my kids. They also came already paired to the parent unit which was awesome! I just charged it, turned it on and it was ready to go! My previous monitor set was with Kodak. You would think that would be great since they specialize in cameras and all but it was terrible! The connection, image, and overall functionality of the system was just terrible! Now they discontinued their camera system and won't help with tech support or replacement even though it's under warranty. Hohoo offered a longer warranty and has been great with customer service! Much better than Kodak ever was. It's only been a couple of days so far but I'm beyond happy with it! I'll be sure to update this if anything changes but I don't foresee any issues. ... show more

    • Buttons don’t always work the first time you click

The monitor works well and does what I need it to do, but there’s a few things that could improve it. First, the video quality is so so. I had a different monitor before and the quality was so much better, even zoomed in. But that isn’t the most important thing for me so it works. Second, the volume button isn’t on the front / side but rather you have to click the menu, then go to volume, then you’re able to adjust. It’s an extra step that is kind of inconvenient. I do like that the zoom button is right there on the front and it is easy to access. Third, the temperature gauge isn’t the most accurate but I’ve found that most monitors are unable to be totally accurate. I’m sure it depends where you position the camera in the room. Fourth, the buttons don’t always work on the first click. This is extremely frustrating. Sometimes it takes 2-3 clicks for it to work. At first I wondered if there was a lag so I clicked and waited. Nothing until I clicked it again. So sometimes when you’re changing settings, trying to use zoom, etc. it takes longer to click on what you want because it isn’t registering. I’m not sure if my individual monitor is defective or if all of them have this issue. Overall, I’m happy with the range and battery life. Our old monitor didn’t work in our bedroom even though it wasn’t far from baby’s room, so I’m happy that this works throughout our house and even in the backyard! First I added this baby monitor to my baby registry than decided to purchase myself test it out before baby arrives. I’m on a budget so wanted to try not expensive ones . This monitor exceeded all expectations. Such a great picture quality two way audio night vision and you can adjust camera from your monitor if your baby moves out of the video. You aren’t going to find a better dual monitor at this price. The picture quality is good (not excellent) the features are also nice and easy to understand. I like that even though there isn’t a button specifically for volume (it’s in the menu) there is a shortcut you can take with other buttons that makes it quick and easy! I do wish that it would pan down farther than it does, but that’s honestly my only complaint. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone considering! ... show more
