The parts manager at my local Harley shop recommended this and Hogtune 5.25 speakers for an inexpensive solution to upgrade my sound from the standard on my 08 wide glide...WOW! This tweeter pod fits as if it were factory! The difference is a 400% increase in sound volume and quality, I wanted to keep it simple and cheap and this is the answer....I didn't want to thump people 50 yds away, just hear my tunes at 70 mph...this works!!! ... show more

    • Quality sound like it should have been in the first place. Tad expensive but worth it overall.
The best way to describe the experience of riding with this is that it's like realizing that you were listening to a home radio that was in the other room before, and now you're going into the room with the actual speakers. It's that much clearer. You might find it too "bright" or almost even harsh if you're just sitting on the bike listening, especially with the treble close to full up. But when riding, especially with earplugs in (best for your hearing and sound quality), the sound is fantastic, and so much clearer than before. Installation is a no-brainer. My only concern is that since you are just hooking up the tweeters basically in parallel with the "woofers", the resistance "seen" by the amp is less than 2 ohms. It should be 1 ohm since 1/R=1/R1+1/R2. I doubt it makes too much of a difference but there's probably a better way to hook it up electrically. Overall I'm happy with it! ... show more

I installed this on my 2006 Flhtci, the installation is simple and straightforward. I haven’t had a chance to try it out on the road but they seem to have more made a difference in the clarity and increased volume directed towards the rider. I purchased the complete HogTune System, Tweeter Pod and Big Ultra kit. The items were shipped by different vendors with one ( big ultra) arriving within days of the order and the other (tweeter pod) arriving weeks behind the the other. Normally this would not be a problem, but this installation requires the removal of the faring to complete the process, which meant my bike was in pieces awaiting a slow shipment. It would be nice in Amazon could use vendors that carry the complete line of product to eliminate the delays especially if the components are normally ordered together. I like the Tweeter Pod, it completes my audio system as an add-on that has a factory appearance. ... show more
