Ok assembly was definitely a task in itself, took approximately 8 hours with a drill, per unit. I love the design and how the drawers and cabinets have the option to be locked. The locks all use different keys and that’s ok but I bought two units and now have 6 sets of keys lol. It’s nice to be able to lock away my medication and don’t have to worry about kids getting into it. One thing I did notice was these units are white but if you look really close they have a powder blue paint spray spots all over the tops and I’m ok with that cause it’s hardly noticeable. I absolutely love the shelves you can fit so much inside, I did not opt to use the included clothing hanger bar cause the height would not accommodate any adult size clothing without removing the top and middle shelves. I hate to see clutter so now it’s all hiding behind the doors and the hinges are super heavy duty. I do wish the material was solid wood instead of particle board. I’m super happy with the product and would definitely buy again in the future.

I bought a house in April and I've bought a lot of flat packed furniture over the last few months. This was by far one of the worst I've ever tried to put together. I ended up having to pay a carpenter/home remodeler $100 to assemble it! So after the initial cost of the furniture, it still cost me another $100 to even be able to use it. After over five hours of attempting it myself, I was ready to throw it in the trash. After it sat in my living room floor, taking up every bit of free space I had for 2 days while I was completely stuck trying to figure out what to do next because the pieces i need didn't have stickers on them to identify them, I finally broke down and called my very skilled and reliable handyman with a contractor's license. It took him 4 hours to complete, and he said the instructions were completely worthless. This man builds houses for a living, and still couldn't make sense of the instructions. Pieces were missing stickers to identify the parts, and none of the hardware was identified at all. The instructions didn't even mention where to put the dowels, but he ended up figuring it out through process of elimination. There aren't even holes drilled on the drawers to put the screws in for the tracks! When I finally got it put together, the drawers don't slide easily. They catch and it has to be jiggled just right to get them to open and close completely. I'm assuming this is because the tracks are made for multiple products, featuring many screw holes that aren't used, they didn't provide enough screws to put them where the instructions said, and there were no screw holes or screws for the sides of the drawer to keep the track flush with the drawer. I'm going to have to go to the hardware store and find more screws of this type to make the tracks fit properly. So, more money on something that is supposed to be fully ready to assemble with everything included. Not only is the functionality of the drawers a complete pain, but all 3 locks require different keys. There is no way I'll be able to remember which key unlocks which drawer/cabinet, as they all look the same. Then to add insult to injury, all the hardware is silver on a black piece of furniture. Their solution to cover this isn't plastic caps as I've seen in many other setups. No, instead it provided stickers. Little black stickers with fake wood grain printed on them, and most of them weren't even there. I don't understand why they wouldn't just use black hardware instead of requiring a bunch of stickers to be stuck onto the furniture that will collect dust and eventually fall off anyway. My handyman sat his drink on top of the dresser while he put the drawers in, and it left a ring that bloated up. There was not enough moisture on the cup to be concerned about, but apparently, any moisture at all will ruin this hunk of junk. I had planned to put a mirror behind this and use the top for makeup application, but now that I know it can't handle moisture in even the tiniest amounts, I definitely won't be doing that. This comes in two boxes and is extremely heavy. I had to open it in my garage and bring the pieces in my house a few at a time. I regret this purchase so much, but it would be impossible for me to take it apart and try to get it to the UPS store to return. I found so many similar pieces on facebook marketplace that were already put together, cost a quarter of the price, and were much better quality, but I made the mistake of trusting this brand instead. I bought Hodedah furniture about ten years ago, and my husband and I put it together with no issues and couldn't have been happier with the purchase. I trusted the Hodedah brand because of past experiences with it, and that was a huge mistake. I will never buy another piece of furniture made by this company again. They have become cheap junk just like the off-brand stuff that doesn't even come with instructions in English. I actually bought a piece of flat packed furniture from Temu for $40 that was better quality than this. Don't waste your money!

This dresser is pretty good. When I read all the comments I thought it was really cheap quality. I think a lot of people expected thick, quality wood. But for the price this is a pretty good dresser. I did recieve this with one broken piece (part B), but I called the company and they are sending me another. But it was packaged well with no major scuffs. (All scuff were really small and could have been caused by me). Now as to the time it took to build this.....I can't believe how long it took. The manual says 90 minutes. I read reviews saying it took average 5 hours alone. It took 15 HOURS!!! I'm serious. And it got difficult because you had to screw in to where there's no holes. I had to have someone hold the dresser while I was building and it seemed like it was going to break. (So I will recommend having at least 1 helper). But in the end I had pain in my knees, my back,a sprained wrist, and a major blister on my hand. Is the time and struggle worth it? No. I would rather hire someone to build this. But now its built its nice. Other complaints I had are that the 5 drawers aren't that deep. And the shelves can easily slide out since there is no slot to keep them in place. So this item I will say is a 50/50 if you should get it. But I do like it, just wish there was more drawer space. Update: these drawers are best for kids clothes or if you don't have much or you know how to fold small. I really wish the drawers were deeper. But overall this dresser is holding up really well.

If you have help to hold different parts steady and you put the item together correctly, and do it upside down, where the top of the dresser is actually face down on the floor, preferably in the corner of a room where you can use the corner to keep things square, and keep it from leaning or bending while you assemble it, I promise the end result will be super sturdy, especially if you use a staple gun to attach the back piece instead of the provided nails... I would also recommend adding small legs made from blocks of wood that fill the entire corners of the bottom, like 2x4 or even 4x4 blocks... The added legs will raise it slightly keeping you from breaking the bottom facia pieces when you move the unit, especially on the carpet... Adding the legs will also make it way less likely to want to fall forward when you open all the drawers... And the legs will be mostly hidden so won't change the look of the item... Adding legs will also keep it safe from spills and moping water, which anyone knows water and particle boards makes for mush... Adding legs helps prevent the bottom from water damage.... I also added 2 inch small self tapping screws to each corner of the drawers on the backside to help keep them square and super sturdy, the screws that came with were wimpy and tiny and I could tell the drawers would mostlikely wear out with heavy usage if not beefed up with longer, and a few more screws.... I used basic 2inch self tapping sheetmetal screws, cause they go in easy and won't split the thin Particle board pieces... I also will say my daughter took the dresser apart and took it with her to have in her college dorm! She too it apart completely to fit it in her car and so she could get it up to here 3rd floor room all by herself! She says she put it back just like it was and has been working fine for her now! I didn't want her to take it, but she was determined to have it lol ...

While I will say I saw a lot of bad reviews my experience wasn’t as bad as the others I’ve read. Ours came and the boxes were intact and we were not missing any pieces. Now that being said this dresser is not made of quality material. It is EXTREMELY flimsy. In theory this would be an amazing dresser if the material used to build it was better quality. I really love the style and design of the dresser but it basically could fall apart and snap into a bunch of pieces if you put too much weight on it. The base of the dresser has zero support on the back so the whole bottom piece just bows and same with some of the support boards they just bow when you are attaching other pieces to them.. once you have it together and in the spot you want it as long as you’re not rough with it or lean on it or put too much weight then I guess it will be fine. But for $200 this could be a lot better quality. In my opinion this is not worth the money.

The directions indicate it should take 2 people 1-1/2 hours to assemble. Not on your life. It took me 1-1/2 hours to merely unbox everything in order to identify all of the pieces and hardware and an additional 12 hours to complete the assembly. And I've constructed many similar units over the years! That aside, the directions were well written and easy to follow but you MUST also review the installation diagrams for proper assembly. The components were all labelled alphabetically or numerically and fabrication was true and square. All pre-drilled factory holes were exact. No extra hardware is included, so be careful not to misplace even the tiniest screw. I counter sunk most visible screws so as to have them be totally flush with the finished surface. I also pre-drilled guide holes for the dozens of small screws that must be installed for the drawer rollers. Time consuming, true - but necessary! I also installed floor protectors on the bottom of the unit. All in all, It came out well, the finish is fine, BUT... I don't know if I would do it again. It was a lot of effort, and considering the value of my time, I'd probably buy an armoire pre-assembled.

While theoretically a great idea, this item doesn't even come close to what was expected. First of all, it weighs close to 200 pounds. I was excited by that as it usually indicates solid material. That was not the case. Second, it says assembly takes 90 minutes. This took us almost 4 hours. The directions started off referencing a piece that actually didn't exist in the kit. I overlooked that and moved on, unfortunately. Nothing is flush, the drawer faces came scratched, and the corners of the laminate are already peeling. The locks are a great idea, but do not function. The screws ripped out of the drawer my first attempt at opening it. The screws to the slides do not go flush causing every single drawer to catch when opening/closing. The only way to possibly mitigate this is to remove some of the screws from the slides which will make them even less sturdy. It's extremely wobbly and because of its weight, I'm not sure how I'll ever be able to move it without it falling apart. I've built many items of this style throughout my life and have never had one turn out so rickety. Wood glue may have helped suring assembly, but since it's not included or suggested, I assumed it wasn't necessary. I'm seeking a refund and will never purchase an item from this company again.

TLDR: Great design, BUT came slightly damaged upon arrival, convoluted instructions, missing pilot holes, hangers fit only at an angle, and still has an odor that resembles urine after 1 month Reading the reviews, I expected this to take some time to assemble, but how hard could it be? Although my partner and myself are decently skilled with assembling IKEA furniture (especially having just built a slew of items after moving), it took us a good 8 hours to put together the dresser. While this was partially due to the number of parts (expected with a dresser this large), most of this was because of the convoluted instructions and lack of pilot holes for "Screw #3," which was unfortunately used frequently and necessary to attach the wheels for the drawers. I fixed this by drilling my own holes or skipping the screws altogether, but I feel like this oversight is the reason why one of my drawers does not slide well. However, assembly is a one time thing, so how has the dresser fared thus far in the month that I've used it? Aside from the sticking drawer, the dresser has been serving the exact purpose I was hoping for. The drawers are spacious and plentiful, and the side cabinet is decent for hanging my collared shirts (I left out one of the shelves to allow hanging space-- it's still a bit tight with the hangers and the length, but it works if the hangers are at angle). Like other reviews, some parts did come a bit damaged, and in assembly, some of the pieces were scraped, despite us trying to be mindful. Unfortunately, the main reason I'm giving this dresser two stars is the SMELL. Unpacking the dresser and during assembly, there was an odor, but I expected it to fade. It has not in the slightest. I would best describe the smell as something like urine? I thought we were having plumbing issues initially until we turned off the fan and we traced it back to the dresser. Can smell it throughout the whole apartment, too. It's not the smell of urine exactly, but that's the closest thing I could describe it to. The design of the dresser is great, but in execution? Below expectations, which were already low because of the previous reviews.
