This solar fan is a solid way to keep a coop or small shed ventilated without needing to run electricity. It moves a decent amount of air and feels pretty sturdy for the price. The main drawback is that it has zero battery backup, so the moment a cloud passes or the sun moves, the fans stop completely. It’s perfect for sunny Florida days, but don't expect it to do much on overcast days or in the evening.

The Quad Fan product works just ok. In my case, the single 25watt solar panel is just enough to power this fan unit. An additional 5-10watt Solar panel capability could surely benefit the fan performance. In short, I would not buy again until a better solar panel is provided.

Well, it's cheap, so to my mind I go in thinking if this works for 3 years, I won. We use it to vent our attic in the extremely hot months (think lower Georgia, near the coast, often highs of 98 or more). Works well, but this house is small, and the roof is not that steep, plus some shade. I'd say if Im lucky it averages moving maybe 1/2 the attic air out an hour, but it's enough to keep it more like 110 instead of 128 up there, on a 96 degree day. My bills dropped about 30 percent from summer 23 to last summer, but I made other changes at that time, including added a window inverter unit. Still, you can tell just from standing in a chair and feeling the ceiling and holding your hand up there in late afternoon, it's a good bit better. Especially the pull-down door area. Actually nice it works best when sun is out, which is usually when it's the hottest, and saves wear on itself as the sun sets so it might last longer, Starting season 2. Used it maybe 5 months, a tad more, last season.

Edit: I was able to contact the seller and we found a solution. Thank you. Installed this item and within 3 weeks, one of the four fans stopped working. At 4 weeks, all of the fans are not working. I have a hole cut out of my coop wall for this fan.. it’s not as easy as “uninstall it and send it back for a refund”. Besides that, I’m passed the return window. I’ll try to upload a photo or video later. I did check it before installation and I made sure the solar panel is in a prime spot for sunlight.

Easy to set up 👍 My only complaint is that one of the four fans isn’t working! But I am keeping it as I don’t want the hassle of doing a return I work 6 Day’s a week Graveyard and need all the sleep I can get 😴 I hope it keeps my Priscilla cool in this heat. If it lasts, I might consider installing a second one in her doghouse 🐕🦺

Unless it has total sunlight all day long it not worth a poop. And it partially sunny the fans slow half power and that’s not good enough for my small greenhouse. Live and learn.
