The location I hung this was already hard wired with surface mount conduit so I didn't need most of the 72" long (give or take) chain. It was very easy to bend one of the links open to shorten it to what I needed. This replaced a fixture that was pretty but larger and heavy as heck and when I would nick my head on it (I'm tall) I saw stars. This fixture is so light that when I bop it with my melon nothing bad happens, to me at least. I put in 100 watt equivalent LED bulbs (warm white, clear glass) which state they put out 800 lumens each but they don't seem like it. The listing here says you need E12 base bulbs, but I only saw them for sale as "B13 - candelabra base". They are surprisingly expensive but the end result of the light going through the rattan is very pleasant. Note this fixture is mean to be hard-wired out of the box, there is no plug or switch on the cord. ... show more

Although not very big (12 inch diameter), this little chandelier is so cute! The weaving of the rattan is even and very professional looking. The contrast of the matte black base and the rattan is stunning. It looks very pretty hanging over my small dining room table, although I think it would be beautiful in a bedroom as well. I love the way light filters through the rattan and makes a kaleidoscope design on the ceiling. Absolutely no regrets with this item! I love it! ... show more

I had my husband hang this yesterday and it totally dressed up my laundry room. I love it. It doesn't come with bulbs so be sure to purchase 3 candelabra bulbs. I used the candelabra Edison bulbs in mine. He had the old fixture down and the new one hung in about 30 minutes so installation wasn't too difficult. I'm very happy with it! ... show more
