I purchased this set because my good set was packed. We are in the process of moving. I read the reviews and thought these would be a good replacement set....NOT THE CASE. They leak terribly. I am an avid cook and baker and bought this specifically for the 8” springform pan to bake a birthday cake. So far I have used it twice, and I completely regret this purchase. During the first use, there was slight leakage, but nothing too serious. My cake came out great! I washed it by hand, dried it by hand, and then let it air dry overnight. I put it away and all was fine - or so I thought. When I took the pan out a couple months later to bake another cake that called for the 8” springform pan, I noticed it was rusted - after the first use! I always take special care in the cleaning of my baking/cooking pans to make them last longer, and I was shocked that it had developed rust after only using it once! I figured, “No, it can’t be rust. Maybe it’s just leftover chocolate from the flourless chocolate cake I made.” So I cleaned it really well, scrubbed the areas with the rust, and used it to bake my next cake. This time, however, I noticed there was more leakage. Nothing crazy, but more than what I remembered from the first time. I put some aluminum foil around the base to prevent it from leaking everywhere and baked my cake. It baked fine. This time, I took extra precautions in cleaning and drying the springform pan to make sure it wouldn’t have any leftover cake or rust on it. After towel drying it, I left it out to air dry overnight. I put it away, and checked it a couple weeks later. And guess what? There was rust! Not only that, but the base of the springform pan doesn’t even fit in the round. There are visible gaps, as seen in the provided pictures, and does not smoothly fit together anymore. There’s no way I can possibly use this again in the future. I won’t be using the pans anymore, so I basically paid a bunch of money for pre-cut parchment. Great. I thought this was a steal of a purchase for the price and was influenced to get it by the large number of positive reviews, but I totally regret buying this. Now I will have to purchase new springform pans. Go with the slightly more expensive, high-quality brand names. Don’t even bother purchasing this product and wasting your money. ... show more

Just tried using this to bake a cake. It was a thinner type batter and the pan leaked (although the cake still came out mostly OK). However, cake is very difficult to release from the bottom plate (even with greasing and flouring). I think a different batter type and using parchment paper in the future may help. I like that this set comes with the offset spatula and icing smoother. I imagine I might be able to use these again for other things (not regular cake) so it's not a complete wash but, overall, I don't recommend this set. ... show more

I recently took up baking as a hobby and wanted a set of pans to bake cakes in. I didn't know that the springform pans were better for thicker batters like cheesecake, but it wasn't an issue. I tested it out by putting in water to see if there were any leaks and I had a few drips leaking out. I ended up lining the tin with some foil/parchment paper and my cakes came put perfect. The ease of being able to unlock the tin to remove the cake was really simple and made my life better. I used these tins to bake 3 cakes for my daughter's birthday and they all came out well. My next goal will be to try baking a cheesecake in these bad boys. ... show more

Sure, it was leakproof, easy to clean (as in nothing stuck on from baking) and was easy to remove the ring and baked goods from the pan. HOWEVER~ I *hand-washed* my springform pan, dried it with a towel and put it inside my cabinet and went to work. After a few days, I came home from work and went to take it out of my cabinet to use it again. This is when I found it had rust all in the bottom part where the flat pan rests after it is locked. It retained water inside this bent metal area where the base of the springform gets locked into place. This was my first time owning a springform pan, and there was no care instructions with this purchase that said how to dry this item. My suggestion to new buyers would be to turn the oven on, and dry it inside your oven. The oven heat making sure the water fully evaporates from all creases a towel can not reach. Even the slightest amount of water will damage this if left alone to drip dry. Don't make this mistake like I did. ... show more

Couldn't find an 8" anywhere except for pricey stores. This set is sound and though I didn't need the 9" I found the liner papers to be a big plus - no measuring and cutting parchment, which means throwing away a lot of paper each time. Have used the 8" three times in two weeks and it holds up without any problems. I'd buy this again and would recommend to friends, though 'kitchen snobs' might want to pay more for essentially the same product. ... show more

Perfect for my baking needs. The spring form pans function nicely and have a non stick surface, they are of a good weight and not flimsy at all. They came with a frosting spreader and a smoother. They were packed very nicely. I highly recommend this product!
