This product is exactly what I was looking for. I titled this review the way I did because my tea making skills are through the roof. Why are my skills better now then they were before the product? They are better now because, I do not consume all the seasoning or products put into the water as I did when I made tea before the product. The metal sifter (or whatever it is called) is fine enough to where seasoning/powders do not slip through easily. Does powders/seasonings get through, yes, but not at such an extreme level. That is one my favorite parts. Use: The tea pot heats up well on the electric stove too. I typically heat up my water in a metallic kettle and then pour the water into the tea pot for the teas to extract into the water versus heating up water in the tea pot. However, the extra step I take isn't needed. Cleaning: Cleaning is simple and easy. However, the tea pot does seem like it could break easily (duh it's glass). The media could not be loaded. I have been inspired to buy a transparent tea kettle for a while, but have been hesitant due to the fragility of the glass. However, this tea kettle exceeded my expectations! It is aesthetic, functional, and the handle remains cool throughout. I would probably only be weary of the lid of the kettle as it gets very hot.     • Flimsy hardware - knob broke from lid under normal use
Update- I did an exchange for a new teapot. That process was too easy and fast. UPS'd the one with the defective knob yesterday and received the new one today. Seems like the lid on this one is far less tight, so I'm feeling good about the knob staying on. I bumped it up to 5 stars. I just really like the infuser, the teapot shape, and size (not too big). Glad it worked out that I ended up with it. -------- I originally bought this tea pot for a gift. If the Amazon delivery person didn't toss the box onto my driveway and crush the outer and inner product box, my friend would have been writing this review, not me. Anyhow, since the teapot inside the product box was really well insulated with foam it survived the ordeal. So, I decided to keep it and give a gift card to my friend. Now, after only 3 days of use the knob on the lid came apart. What a disappointment. The knob is fastened to the lid with what looks like a regular 3/4" steel wood screw. Inside the knob's base is some sort of plastic and that broke apart dislodging small pieces of plastic that contaminated a good Japanese Sencha brew. Apart from this unfortunate product failure I really like the teapot. The borosilicate glass body holds up well - I used it with Medium heat on our electric stove top and in our microwave oven. I like the look, which is why I purchased it for a gift. The infuser is stamped with 304 which is more like 18% chromium and 8% nickel, that is 18/8, versus the 18/10 mentioned in the Amazon description. No big deal to me. The infuser works well keeping the leaves and grit away from the beverage and it is also easy to clean. Now I have to decide what to do with the teapot, as I can't use it without a knob to remove the lid. ... show more

Best tea pot! Packaged properly! Looks elegantly delicate and should obviously be handled carefully. Handle doesn’t get hot. I place it on my small burner right on the edge on medium heat. First time I was scared pot would melt, nope! Perfect cup up tea! I love that I can see the color of the tea, since I boil leaves straight off the tree. 10 out of 10 recommend ! ... show more
