The media could not be loaded. EDIT 2: I had an unfortunate situation with my hub motor during the delivery which was causing the motor to make alot of noise while riding. Since I never owned an electric bike, I didn't think much of it and thought it was normal. Over the few months it's gotten progressively louder and louder so I ended up contacting the seller for HITTROAD Safari bike and explain the situation. They were quick in responding after I left a vm for him and promptly got back to me and offered to assist with my issue. Bike was running excellent irrespective of all this and my bike shop owner told me for a bike at this price point it certainly well made. Seller contacted the hub motor manufacturer Befang and they offered a solution but was not what they thought and ultimately offered to replace the faulty motor with a brand new one under warranty. Took it to the bike shop and had the new motor installed and OMG...the bike runs whisper quiet and fast and arguably better than my close to 3k bike I bought since then. So happy with this remarkable company and their customer service and please...if you want a quality bike that didn't cut many corners, and worth every penny....buy it and buy it from these guys. Highly recommend and happy customer. EDIT: I had this beast of a bike since July 2nd and I must say....I cant find any bikes under $1,300 bucks that comes anywhwre close to this in spec or tech Even today! I get so many compliments whenever I ride this baby....and I've been riding this everyday since I got this. 25 miles some days on trails and exploring different part of the towns. Battery life is excellent. In a mixed flat and hilly area to get 25 miles is great on one charge. I havent fully depleted it yet even once. I am not sure how many miles i would get on throttle only. But i will find out soon. Great work out and even lost some weight and got toned. It's a fantastic ride when in peddle assist1-5 but Pedel Assist 0 the bike becomes extremely heavy with no power. I haven't figured out the gears yet. Couple of things I would change is the front derailleur adjustment to something a bit more easier to use and maybe a lighter frame so it could be more easier to lift down or up the stairs. When using the front gear adjustment, It will go into middle and outer chainring without any issues but lowest one won't seem to shift for me easily. I may take it to a professional bike tuning place since it might be worth it for me since I ride this everyday for fitess and fun! I bought tons of stuff as additonal accessories with the money I saved including headlights, tail lights, smart helmet, securty lock, horn, alarm system, gloves laser bicycle markers for night riding and etc. I even got my 17 year old who was lazy and couldn't ride to learn cycling and been going out together because of this bike! Thank you so much for a life changing experience! (Sound cheesy and a bit dramatic but hey) just buy it! Price is FANTASTIC!!! I might get another one for my daughter now that she is learning to ride a bike once she is a bit more consistent so we can have our father daughter bonding rides. 5 STAR ALL THE WAY FOR ME. I just ordered my first E-bike after alot of research and finally decided to go for the Safari from HittRoad bike (Class 2 rear hub motor with 21 speed Shimano gear and quick charge battery) couple of days ago. The delivery was super quick by fedex. I recieved it this morning on a Saturday (2 days even though original delivery was suppose to be 6-11 days.) I am so impressed with this little thing. Easy to install watching the video. I didnt even need the instruction manual to put it all together. 90% come fully installed. Just had to install the front tire, handle bar, pedel and the fender. Didnt feel the need to put the fender so I left that alone. You will need to inflate the tires first time to 45 or 50 psi. Other than that, it was ready to ride in no time....anyone can put this together easily within 1 hour to 2 hour max if you are new to the assembly. It has a quick release for the front tire which is very convenient. Sexy looking bike. (Black). Battery came fully charged. I charged it anyway to make sure it was topped off. Packaging was impeccable. Quality items thorough out. Bike felt like it was built with high quality items. I live in a very hilly area in Yonkers, NY. Took it out and went for a ride to the nearby park and then around the town for 3.3 miles in 15 minutes. Thats with me slowing down and going down 50 stairs deep down to the trail with lifting the bike down (Faster than taking my car!!!) Hills were steep and not even a little bit of hick up for this machine. Quite motor. Throttle assist literally just take away all the pedeling if you don't want to. Yet you can if you want a qood little work out which I clearly had. Battery was full when I got home. It will take a little getting used to familiarize yourself with the gears. But no learning curve at all. Just go with your insticts as you ride and it's a breeze! You can hardly tell its a ebike unless you look closely. So that's another great thing I appreciate. I hate those fat tire bulky looking monsters. You can't even take them to a park or trails because most of them fall under class 3 category according to DOT and not allowed in public trails or parks. Takes the whole fun away from having a bike in my opinion. And this handles rough trails with such ease which I didn't even feel. Great suspension too! Where will you find an e bike with this level of quality under 800 bucks??? I highly doubt it. I read quite a bit about all the other ones in this price range and none will ever come close. There was a promotion so I end up getting it for few hundred dollar cheaper as well. Today I see the price went up 150 bucks more. I would pay 1000 for this bike without a doubt. Love the seller. I can see the little attention to detail went behind this even with pakaging. Thank you. Don't even think twise people. Best money can buy under the sub 1000 dollar range. Let's see if this will hold up my everyday use. I will update this review if I have any issues which I am hopping i won't for a little while. Buy buy buy! ... show more

This HITTROAD Electric Bike is mighty Fun to ride. The bike comes carefully packaged in a sturdy box that includes the bike, additional parts, and the tools needed to finish up putting the bike together. It took me 5 hours to a put the bike together. I'm a bit slow but, I also adjusted the disk brakes, and the gears. The bike comes with front and rear mud guards, but I did not add them until about two weeks later after riding on wet trails. Everything works well on this bike. I really like that it only takes me about 3 hours to fully charge the battery. I get about 41 miles between charges when I ride in the peddle assist mode; the most I have ever gotten is 51 miles on one charge. The bike climbs hills well and is great for commuter riding. I really like this electric bike and I recommend it. ... show more

Great starter bike! Very nice bike for the price. Especially for a 21-gear mountain bike with Shimano disc brakes and gears. Shipping time wasn't bad for an oversized item that doesn't have prime shipping. It wasn't terribly hard to assemble. The instructions aren't great, but between them and videos on Youtube, I was able to figure it out just fine. Works great for my use, as I'm just an occasional rider. I do wish that it didn't say "Junior" on it, considering it's supposed to be an adult bike, but I can put a sticker over that so I'm not worried about it. Overall, it's a great bike and I would (already have) refer it to a friend. ... show more

I have been cycling as my major form of transportation for over 30 years. I've had $300 bikes up to $1000 bikes so while researching E-bikes in this ballpark, believe me I took like 2 months to make a decision, I decided on this Hittroad Safari E-Bike. The assembly was pretty easy, Gratefully Hittroad has a YouTube channel with 2 videos on how to assemble. This works out way better than the hand drawn manual that comes with the bike as well as more information that is not included with the bike. All parts were included (And then some. I was baffled by the fact that I had several parts that are never mentioned in the manual or videos) It is an absolutely good looking E-bike (I purchased thee white/blue with the black trim), the qualtiy of the bike is also great. The bike seems very sturdy. I will admit that I had some issues but every time I contacted Customer Service they were very quick to follow up and ship 2 parts that I needed- A+ for their customer service. I took it for a test ride just out on my street, which is pretty flat, but has two streets that are long hills (My older bones can't make it up the hills anymore - haha) I live in PA and it's still NOT spring here so I haven't been able to do a long run just yet. However, after practicing, I found the ride to be great, the front shocks work great as do the disc brakes. The LED works very well as does the modes switching from bike only, hybrid of peddling and electric and the pick up on the electric only is great! One attribute I really love is being able to adjust the handlebars and move them up it made the ride very comfortable! The padded seat isn't bad, but I have a feeling it's going to hurt on long rides. I just purchased a more ergonomical seat. The battery was fully charged upon receiving but I have some colorblindness and the battery indicators always look red to me. Customer service asked for a photo then helped me out. The battery was very easy to remove and charge. On my test rides I got up to close to 22mph on pedal assist, 20mph on full throttle, and then I just rode it without the use of the motor. I made it up the hills very easily. That's what really sold me on it. I will not be using this on trails so I can't speak to that. I purchased this on Amazon and it was $250 less than on Hittroad's website. So far I'm happy! I really recommend this E-Bike! ... show more
