I received this item through the Vine program for free but my review is based solely on my own experience and opinions, without outside influences. I snagged this little kit as a gift for my 11 year old son, and for me to go over things and teach him the basics with. Is it a high end survival kit that I would hang my life on? No, but it is absolutely filled with all the gadgets you'd need, and I'd certainly rather have this kit than nothing at all. First impressions are good. The tools are of OK quality, the case is pretty cheap. The knives aren't the sharpest, but that's what I'd prefer while I teach and test. Some things will come in more handy than others like the knives, fishing line, wire saw, fire tools, and rope. I suggest replacing some of the items you might not need such as the multi-tool card, cheap flashlight, water bottle clip, and tactical pen (carry this somewhere else?). Overall, I suggest everyone have a small kit somewhere, in a go bag or vehicle, even if it's not this kit in particular.

I keep a bug out bucket just in case of emergency. I got this kit to put in there since it had a good assortment of items. The items are of okay quality, not for daily usage, but good in case there is an emergency without spending too much. Has a wide variety of items packed into a small orange plastic storage case. The one I received was missing the survival bracelet with the small compass. Not a big deal but still. I saw it listed for less than $25 which is a good deal for someone that doesn't want to spend a lot of dollars for something you hopefully won't need.

Perfect for a stocking stuffer! Only disappointment was the knife. The spork knife was sharper than the pocket knife. The seatbelt cutter blade is set at the wrong angle so it’s essentially worthless. It is an assisted opening knife - which was quite a shock and pleasant surprise. Some sharpening and the knife will be good to go.

Overall this is a nice little box with many useful tools. The quality is not the best, but each item looks like it would serve its purpose at least once. The storage box is not waterproof but would likely survive a quick dunk in a puddle. I would suggest adapting this to suit your specific needs, but it is definitely a good start!

This kit has a lot, so much so that good luck to you to get it all back to fit in the tiny case. While a decent deal I would have preferred a case with individual spots for each item, even if it had to be bigger. Everything just being all loose bothers me for some reason and I had to spend time fitting things just so to even get the thin case to close.

I ended up with three survival kits for Christmas, and this is probably the best. The hard case is nice for keeping everything protected. There are several knives/blades (one lock blade). Carabiners, fishing kit, good fire starter, paracord, etc., it’s amazing what fits in this small case. The only tiny complaint I can muster is that the faro rod slipped out of the fire starter, but I was able to push it right back in, so no big deal.

I bought this kit to keep in my car in case I ever get stranded somewhere and need a few tools to aid in my survival until help arrives. I like taking the occasional road trip to the middle of nowhere, but I have a bad habit of getting lost. Fortunately, I always seem to find my way back to civilization, but I’ve heard enough horror stories to know that you can get in real trouble if you get lost out there somewhere and the car breaks down. When I saw this kit, I figured it would be a good investment. It provides just enough tools to give me an edge if I’m ever stuck in a difficult situation. It’s got a knife, a flashlight, and some fire-starting materials as well as an emergency blanket, some bandages, and a few other handy items. It’s not as good as some of the hardcore survival kits out there, but definitely a handy little kit to keep in the car. It works for me. Just be warned, if you take all the items out of the kit to look at them, it can be very difficult to get them all back in again. It’s very tightly packed and everything has to be in there just right for you to be able to close it.
