Wow, just wow. Before purchasing this sound bar I did extensive research trying to balance budget and quality and boy did I make the right choice. If I wasn't on such a tight budget I would buy another one for my living room as this sounds much better than my older stereo system 7.1 with a receiver. Installation: Setup was simple and easy. When assessing whether I purchase something or not I also go to the negative reviews to see if there are any negatives I need to know about, I disagree with the people who had issues setting up their system . They either just don't know what they are doing or their equipment wasn't very compatible, I guess. If you have 2 brain cells you should be able to set this up. They have a quick set-up guide and a more detailed guide. You just have to place the speakers where you want them and plug them into a power outlet. The system paired up with the speakers automatically. Batta Bing Batta Boom. I used this with my projector with a firestick. My Fire stick is plugged directly into the projector and is not convenient for a wire. But that is no big deal because they conveniently connect utilizing Bluetooth. Go into your Remote and Bluetooth settings on your fire stick, hit the Bluetooth button on the stereo remote and the option to select the system on the firestick pops up, click it and it is perfectly paired. So simple even a caveman can do it, except for a few people giving negative reviews on this page, apparently they are sub-cavemen I guess, lol. Performance: All I have to say is wow, just wow. I could not believe the quality of the sound. There are a few different stereo settings, pure stereo, stereo pro (my favorite), No stereo, Then there are modes you can choose, Voice which I guess enhances audio for those have issues hearing voices over the sounds, AI (not sure what it does), Night Mode or 1 other one that slip my mind at the moment. Anyways, just play with them until you find your preferred setting. Night mode is nice because it lowers the bass and makes the sound more quiet and less disturbing to people that may be sleeping as well as your ears getting more sensitive at night. The settings are more than enough for most people. Volume: I made a separate section for volume because Holy carap this thing is loud. If you even pump this bad boy up to about 35 it is on the brink of being too loud and possibly disturbing to your neighbors depending on your living arrangements. If you turn it up to max you just might lose your hearing permanently, this thing is incredibly loud and sufficient for even the most abusive of volume for those people that want to torture themselves or their neighbors. You blast this near max, you might be getting a visit from the police and a wife that will yell at you to turn it down, you nut! lol. Overall for the value and quality of the equipment (the speakers are not cheaply put together, quality is evident) and sound you can't go wrong with this device, especially if you are trying to not to break the bank. So let me help you down off the fence, buy this especially if you can snatch it up for $300 or less, your research is over.

Don’t think it twice, go for it!

I bought it one day while it was $250 for the entire 5.1.4 system, unreal! At that price point , there is no room for complains. The sound truly is amazing. I only wish the center channel had a stronger speaker. I mean the voices sound good and clear, but when pulling a Dolby signal during a movie, it might feel a bit low. Setting it to night mode, or voice mode, helps. Other than that, the cinematic experience is superb! Strong bass and treble, clear dialogues, surround speakers are great and add a true Dolby atmos or Dolby audio experience. Setting up is nonexistent as it all simply connects itself once you plug each part into an outlet. If you find this 5.1.4 system on sale like I did, go for it! Nothing will come even closer at that price point!

Garbage, do not buy. Not only do you need a hisense tv for features but its not even a mid range unit. Fairly easy setup but its slow to respond, doesn't play well with other remotes and they put a big branding sticker on top that ruins it if you try to remove. Go with the amazon surround plus, sounds great, music sounds great, Easy setup, clear voices, Atmos is amazing, and almost seamless with a fire cube and eArc. This unit simply is garbage.

Great sound, but connection issues

The sound is great. There are issues occasionally (a bit more often that I’d like, once a week) when the sound cuts out and I have to unplug the hdmi. I use eArc, so the connection with the tv is great when it’s not cutting out.

This thing rocks!

I cannot believe how great this thing sounds for the price. Atmos and DTS X sound amazing! Channel separation is great. Dialogue is crystal clear. You will have to tinker with it to dial it in to suit you, but right out of the box I was impressed. I have it connected to a Hisense TV and the Hi Concerto sounds amazing. I like that the Sub can be placed anywhere as well as the rear satellites. I had to plug my rears into the subwoofer on my old vizio so it didn't off many options where you could place the Sub. Each satellite has their own power cord. If you are on a budget and want a great home theater experience with booming explosions and atmos, grab this one. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Flawed from the start

I tried to like this soundbar, but it has been very frustrating. I should have returned it while I could. I kept it since it was the same brand as my U8N TV, thinking it might get better with setting tweaks and it must work better since the soundbar and TV are the same brand. Alas, no. The soundbar sound is OK and works as advertised. But don't expect sound like a receiver and speakers setup, which is superior. Back to the schizo functionality. Everytime I power the TV, I have functionality of the inputs until the soundbar powers up. At that point, the soundbar cuts signal and goes to an error message. I have to go to the GoogleTV input first before then going back to the HDMI that initially had signal until the soundbar felt it needed to keep its minions in check and cut signal. Am I wanting too much to turn on a TV and have work right away? I guess so. So sad. Must be making my TV great again.....

It connected quickly via HDMI eARC, and the sound kicked in right away—no messing around with settings or complicated menus. The sleek design fits perfectly under my TV and looks sharp without taking up too much space. Now let’s talk sound: I purchased this model to take advantage of Dolby Atmos; and with 5.1.4 channels, it creates a full surround sound experience that makes you feel like you’re right in the middle of the action. The sound is amazing; you can actually hear sound coming from above and around you. Explosions rumble, dialogue is crystal clear, and background effects make you feel like you’re right in the action! Has good sound but it can’t connect to the tBluetooth half the time and the volume is erratic you hold the volume down button. It goes all the way for a couple seconds. It goes all the way to zero. It’s a pain in the ass I like the sound when it’s working, but I wouldn’t recommend buying it.
