PLEASE READ i have a 10000btu fridgeair unit that works 5x better than this. It does not blow hard at all and can not cool down a 300sqft room its very quiet but at the price of being very not good. I wouldnt buy this again in fact im trying return it had high hopes for this but its not what i thought. It just seems off honeslty the window feature is really nice and install is super easy but this unit will NOT cool down more than 250sq ft. This brand make great portable units this design is just horrible ... show more

Simply put, this is a terrific and efficient AC unit that uses inverter compressor technology, allowing it to adjust performance and sound levels. To keep this short, here are some quick takeaways: • Performance: It outperforms portable ACs, which lose efficiency due to warm exhaust pipes in the room. Compared to the GE Clearview, this unit may not have the sleeker design, but it wins on cooling power and quieter operation—something many Clearview users complained about. • Noise: It’s impressively quiet, though there’s a noticeable hum when running at full blast with the fan on high. The fan isn’t especially powerful, so if you want to push cold air into adjacent spaces, a tower fan is helpful. • Installation: Took some time. The included foam panels didn’t fully fit my window, so I recommend buying extra high-density foam tape for a tighter seal. It doesn’t come with a window security wedge—pick one up or use a door wedge. I also needed to custom-fit the support bracket with additional screws and wooden spacers for stability. • Efficiency: Very energy-efficient. I was hoping for a quality product similar to that of Hisenses TV. However, this AC was not it. No controls on the unit itself. Poor software to the point where the only way to turn it off was by unplugging it. Maybe I got a lemon, maybe not. Either way, if you want a lower profile AC with the "U shape" go with the another brand. UPDATE: After living with this AC for a few weeks, I am revising the stars up to 4. This unit easily cools a large space while still remaining quiet despite the 90 degree + temperature outaide. However, the lack of controls on the front is unfortunate and the initial issues turning the unit off are still troublesome, though rare. It is getting hot lately, we decided to install this window AC to our bedroom. Setting it up wasn’t hard. I followed the instructions and got it installed pretty quickly. Once it was in, it felt steady and secure. When I turned it on, it was quieter than I thought. I also like using the remote or the app to change the temperature from bed. It’s simple and I don’t have to get up in the middle of the night if I want to make adjustments. The size works well too and the L shaped design is smart. It doesn’t cover the whole window, so some sunlight still comes in during the day. What’s also nice is how it keeps the temperature steady without much effort from me. It turns on and off when needed, so the room stays comfortable through the night. it’s been working just fine and I’m happy with this choice. So let me get the good stuff out of the way: this A/C is quiet, cool, and easy to install (once you realize that half the parts it comes with are spare parts/in case you have a huge window). I bought this in May of 2025 and it served me really well last summer. The only issue I had was, after a marathon of it being on for a few days, it stopped working, leaving me to do a hard reset to get it to work (aka unplugging it, waiting a few minutes, toggling the reset button on the plug, and plugging it back in). When I brought it up out of storage this year, I was excited as it worked so well last year (I was so happy, I bought the 8,000 BTU version of this A/C for my bedroom this year). After installing it in the window and plugging it in, I grew frustrated because it wouldn’t blow out cold air. Essentially, the unit was an overpriced fan - blowing air but never cooling. I compared the output to its 8k BTU brother that I just got, and it was night and day. I tried everything. Cleaned it out completely, cleaned the filter, hard reset, left it on overnight, etc., without any luck. I ended up calling Hisense since there’s a 2 year warranty, and had to go through a pretty thorough automated line to try and troubleshoot the issue. Nothing worked. Eventually, Hisense sent me some paperwork and I was able to get a new unit delivered to my house. The new unit works great! Still no idea what happened to the one that’s busted, but I’m glad the warranty went through. If you buy this, I suggest getting an extended warranty. I’m nervous that next summer I’ll be SOL. ... show more

This A/C did not work at all from the time I put it in the window. I trouble-shooted it and still doesn't work. I contacted the seller and received no helpful customer service. They kept sending me back to Amazon. it's over a week and the 3rd party seller has not resolved the issue and now Amazon is thankfully helping me with it. DO NOT EVER BUY THIS OR ANY PRODUCT FROM THOUSANDS OF ELENCTRONICS. They are useless. What a shame because it is a nice-looking window A/C unit but what good is it if it doesn't work a tall from the time you install it. Waste of valuable time and money and nothing but stress all around from the 3rd party seller. Also agree with another review that the remote does not always sync with the on?off of A/C unit. noticed that when I tried turning it on and off during trouble-shooting. it.
