Works well, quiet, both a handheld remote and WIFI enabled (app is a bit intrusive) as well as control panel on top of unit. Like the auto vent shutter that closes when unit is off. One mild complaint is that window vent kit I received has round exit holes rather than oval, so the plastic vent insert is 8.5" wide, add sealing tape and adapter for deep window sill and it is taking up a little more window than I'd like. ... show more

Best deal on the internet. Bought the refurbished unit for used in a Florida room. Amazing, cools room to 75 with no problems in 95 degree weather. This unit is great with the dual hoses … definitely eases the Georgia humidity levels. Highly recommended.

I bought this (refurbished for $249) to keep my insulated wellhouse cool. The room is about 12 x 12 and I need to moderate the temperature for my battery backup/inverter system that I have for my well pump. There are no windows, so I ran both the tubes through the wall. The one on the top exhausts the hot air, of course. In my tests, it struggles to drop the temperature below about 75-76, (I don't think it can), but does maintain at 79-80 which is what I need. To be fair, it was 95-100 outside here in southern NM when I tested it to see how cool it go. It will change the temperature setting with no input from me, and I'm not sure why it does that. I've set it to 79, then I'll go out there and look a few hours later and it might be on 82, (sometimes, not all the time). ?? I also see the new temperature setting on the app. It's easy enough to correct it, but I don't like that it does that. It took 5 or 6 tries to connect it to my wifi, but it finally did. It does not blow ice cold air. You can tell it's air conditioned air, but not super cold even when it's pulling over 1000 watts. It really should have no problem with this room at about 144 sq ft, but it seems to just barely keep it cool. I hope it keeps working, and I'll keep it...I just don't recommend it. ... show more
