I wanted an 86" Hisense with the same number of mini-LED dimming zones but as I had not saw a mini-LED in person before and none were available locally to see I decided to try out a 75" mini-LED of the same model as the price was more than 50% less. I'm glad I did. At 75" there is plenty of room for a set of stereo speakers stretched along the bottom of the TV and the TV sounds good, not great, I plan to remedy that later with a Hisense Dolby 5.2 Speaker setup. The screen looks great, but it can't rescue 360-resolutions at all, and only manages to rescue 480-resolutions if the source material is impeccable. As there is so much old 480i/480p source material that will never be duplicated with modern shows it was a bit of relief to see Pink Panther and other old cartoon look so good on that big of a screen. At times the higher claimed resolutions like 720p and 1080p are dubious if they really are at the claimed resolution but that's on the streaming provider (YouTube, TUBI, and too many more to shake a stick at). So far, all 2160p resolution shows have looked quite often like you are looking through a glass window. It's almost odd. There are some things when you see shows on such a big clear screen that expose some of the old tricks of professional film making that you never noticed on a 10" to 27" CRT screens of the 60s and 70s. Examples are some of the factory rooms in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory are kind of amateur looking, but the movie is still great. Likewise, the some of the animations in the Pink Panther are looking like frames get skipped, but they aren't, it's the nature of digitizing light and then showing on the big TV screen. Even worse are some panning scenes with only a static background. Since those are all cartoons it's not something that really distracts too badly from the entertainment of the cartoons themselves. I don't really like the FireOS and the streaming apps in them. Only TUBI, Prime, and FreeVee share what I've viewed with the FireOS so that the top level of the FireOS can organize what I'm interested in viewing. I skip between many streaming apps. I also would like it if I could log into my Amazon.com account on my main computer in a browser and attach to a facsimile of my FireTV account and create genres of all the shows I might want to watch someday at the top FireOS level, e.g., Cartoons or Cartoons by studio with subcategories of decades, TV series with subcategories of decades, comedy, detective, police, fire, medical, soap opera, and you get the ideal, not that I'd ever have the time to watch all that, it's just that people naturally like to engage in their instinct to organize in a way they find helpful. More: I have a FireTV Box on HDMI 1 and I can't get a 4K signal from it on my Hisense TV and, eg, the TUBI app lets me upgrade the resolution of shows on the Hisense TV but not on the latest generation FireTV Box. I'm not sure why, maybe I need to specifically purchase a 4K or 8K HDMI 2.1 cable to plug that FireTV Box into the Hisense TV HDMI port? Another think I don't like it I can't match the color temperature and brightness of the FireTV Box to be the same as the Hisense FireTV, which looks absolutely stupendous. More: When I am using the remote to control the FireTV Box, and not the Hisense FireTV, the remote and FireTV Box seem to struggle at times with the remote commands, ignoring them and then suddenly playing the whole queue of ignored remote commands very quickly. Frustrating, but it doesn't always happen. The Hisense FireTV itself doesn't display this behavior. I programmed my FireTV Pro Remote to control both and that was a hassle I had to repeat, ultimately ignoring that the FireTV Box failed to find the mute signal to the Hisense FireTV. It did find the on/off signal to the Hisense FireTV though. All of these bugs seem to be with the FireTVBox and not the Hisense FireTV itself. FireOS, and every other GUI OS I've ever used are somewhat slow, although usable 99% of the time. Finally, the main reason I bought this TV is because I am working on writing video games, and I wanted a testing setup where I was truly relaxed and could pay attention to how the game looks on a very big screen and whether I was enjoying playing the game. For this reason, even if I never watched shows on TV, this TV was worth the price. So overall, I've very happy with this television. It's almost like being at a cinema at times. I like the way it brings a lot of the wow back to shows like the 1960s Speed Racer that I've not seen in over 50 years, so much so that in 2 or 3 years I will probably buy another Hisense TV but with 1 to 1 direct lit mini-LED pixel dimming zones and at 100" diagonal. I'd set it on the floor as at my last real cinema visit in March 2023, I finally caught covid-19 despite all those covid-19 vaccines. That should tell you I'm pleased with the brand and quality of this TV.

I was one of the lucky few to pick up one of these on Prime Day for just $160 which was an amazing price for such a decent TV. Even at it's current price of $337 I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one if we had the need for one in the near future. This replaced one of the old Seiki 50" 4K TV's that came out a decade ago and were by far the least expensive 4K TV's you could get at the time. The main TV in my house is a 2019 75" Vizio P-Series. Probably the most telling thing I could say about this TV is that I used to avoid watching any movies or anything "pretty" that the visuals were right up there with the story because the old Seiki was not real great of picture quality. I no longer worry about that however as the picture from this TV is very good for it's price. Pros: - Consistent picture across inputs. I had change the picture settings switching from game to show on the Seiki which was horribly annoying. - Good lighting with no major hotspot issues. Not unexpected since it has full array local dimming. - Contrary to some reviews stating otherwise I don't notice any significant motion blur. Perhaps the Google version has this issue? - It plays nice with standard and non-standard external devices: - Works great with the Xbox One - Surprisingly also works great with my Asus PN41 mini PC (no over/underscan issues) - Sound is as expected for a thin LED TV that doesn't have room or depth for great speakers Cons(?): - Have had some issues with the wifi connectivity - Likely a combination of wall mounting it on a wall which is brick on the exterior (the reflection of the wifi signals back towards the TV off the wall can really kill your signal) - Unfortunately placement of the main router and sole satellite of my mesh Wifi system that doesn't allow any better placement than with a large brick fireplace and multiple walls directly between the router and the TV - Not really a con as it's a pretty standard size and it's super cheap to get a longer one, but if you're wall mounting yours and wanting neat cable management you'll likely want to go ahead and order a longer power cable because the one this comes with is only ~6-8 feet long

I needed a budget bigger TV and this brand kept coming up in articles as recommended. I also watched a Youtube review about it that said it was a quality budget TV. For context I'm coming from having a 32" Samsung (not smart) TV that I got probably 15 years ago and a box TV that I was gifted. I also got really overwhelmed with choices and different kinds of TVs so I ended up kind of just buying this one because it was in my budget and got decent reviews. Pros: The picture quality seems really nice, no complaints there. It does have some black space in the corners but I don't really notice it. I only know it's there because a Youtube review called it out. I'm a cozy gamer with my switch and have had no issues with picture quality or lag when playing. My TV is facing 2 huge windows and I was surprised about how well the picture still looked with blinds up and high glare. It's not perfect but really not bad. It's lightweight so I could set it up and move it around myself. Picture quality for movies, TV, streaming, and DVDs are all equal. You can assign picture settings to certain HDMI inputs I think (haven't tried this). When I turn my switch on, it'll automatically switch to that input which is super convenient. Cons: TBH I didn't fully understand that this was a Amazon TV when I got it. I thought it was just a smart TV that came with a fire stick built in. So I was a little annoyed/surprised by the ads. You can change the settings so they don't play video or sound but they never fully go away. They'll take over the TV screen if aren't clicking around when you're on the home screen. The ads will scroll at the top, they're for shows and movies and stuff I think, not products that I've seen. The interface is lacking a bit, seems convoluted to get where you need to go and not instinctual. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out where certain settings were but you don't have to do this often. I'm used to the Roku home screen where all your apps are but you have to go find them on this TV, it's annoying. I think they assume you'll use the buttons on the remote which I do since it's easier. I also got stuck in some update loop when I first turned the TV on. After I unplugged it and plugged it back in it's been working fine. I had an old DVD player but it doesn't work with this TV since it doesn't have the yellow, red, and white plug ins. There might be some work around for it but I haven't tried finding it. Not something I thought about when I got it. I ended up getting a blu-ray player. Overall it's been a good budget TV. I hate the ads and now assume Amazon is just feeding off all my data but that's my own fault for not paying attention. You can adjust some data sharing settings.

Just wanted to let everyone know who may be on the fence, this is a great TV. Now granted, I have only had it a few days, but none of the issues everyone else has mentioned (slow load times, weird filters turned on), have been present for me. Very impressed with the upscaling of lower res HD content (Pluto TV, Roku Live etc.). It makes 720 p content look great. Since most PS3 games are 720p as well, it is the best my old system has ever looked (still play BF3 what can I say). Only minor gripe is there are only so many pre-made choices of what to call your inputs (generic “game console” and so on). Would have loved to type it in like my old Vizio, but I will sacrifice that for the great quality overall. But anyway, buy this tv, you will not be disappointed. Oh and lastly, the feet can be mounted in two different spots, which is great for someone upgrading from a 55 inch. The narrower position allows you to use a much smaller stand and not need to purchase another wider one. Update: Almost a year in and still working great. No issues like many reported (most of those reviews were from 2023 so I am guessing any qc issue was taken care of and the updated software was a fix). I do have to say that I have a Roku express 4K hooked up to the tv. I have found it loads faster and I kind of prefer the User interface for Roku a bit better. If anyone is hesitating buying this tv because of the bad reviews for Fire TV OS, the Roku box is only like $29. Cheap “fix” but it is really a matter of preference. Also, finally bought a PS5. When I hooked it up to the TV it automatically went into “game mode”. I have not noticed any issues with slow refresh or any lagging to speak of(something that was a concern for some when mentioning the U6 models). So I don’t know. Maybe I am extremely lucky to have gotten a “good one” from the factory or the issue lies with the reviewer and not the product. Just sayin’

Update: after having this TV for a little while now, I stick to what I said below, but I wanted to add that this is probably my worst purchase ever. The TV turns off randomly. Some of the apps won't load and then the TV just shuts off. The sound quality is still awful, constantly turning the TV up and down to be able to hear or understand what's going on, but then the sound is obnoxiously loud so you turn it back down. It's a constant, annoying battle with this TV and I wish I never got it.. We bought this just a week ago during the Prime Day sale. We got it a day early, which was awesome! But after just a week of having it, I already have some things to say about it. Overall, I'm not impressed. Pros: - It definitely has great picture quality. We had a nice Vizio Smart TV that this replaced, and the 4k is definitely more defined and better quality on this TV than our older one. - Gaming quality is great, especially if you just use headphones for the sound anyway Cons: - The sound quality is absolute garbage. Shows we regularly have watched sound terrible now. Sometimes you can't hear what they are saying so you turn it up, and then next thing you know you're turning it down because it sounds way too loud, but yet it is still hard to understand speech on our shows that did not have this problem on our other TV. So I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting a sound bar (which I have yet to do, but will be soon). The speakers appear to be on the bottom of the TV, so it projects sound right into the TV stand instead of the speakers being on the back (which was what our old TV had, and it projects better off of the wall than it does off of the top of the TV stand)... - We turned the TV off and it ended up being like a broken record and started repeating the opening of the show that was on when we turned it off, except it was delayed. So every 10 seconds the TV would say the beginning of the kids show and then stop, even though the screen was black. When I turned the TV back on to try and stop the issue, it was like the TV was frozen and it was stuck on a gray screen and the sound continued to do the same. So I had to unplug it and plug it back in to reset it.. That was annoying AF especially only one week of having it. Spend the few extra dollars and get a different brand I think, if I had known what I know now, I wouldn't of gotten this TV....

So far the TV has been great, i had the old Element fire tv, picture had a lot of blooming, no HDR and the picture was always kind of flat, but it did the job. this is like night and day. Picture settings can use a little tweaking but all in all it has a good quality picture out of the box, playing MW2 on my Playstation and the game looks amazing, response times are great, no noticeable lag on the screen, watching Hockey or basketball is good, clear crisp image. so far so good, have it set up to work with Alexa so you can have it turn on the tv, switch to cable, the playstation or open apps (make sure you pair it to your Echo device using the Alexa app). found that my old fire tv remote works with it without pairing so have to make sure the two TVs arent near each other or the remote will turn them both on, so thats the only really drawback. otherwise Hisense did a good job, now is it going to outperform a top line Sony, Samsung, Toshiba or even Hisense tv line... no, but if your ok with spending 3 or 4k on a tv that will be outdated in a few years then hey, go for it. otherwise get a decent tv at a great price (watch out for 3rd party sellers and not sold and shipped by Amazon, they mark up the TV to stupid prices.)
