Nice small in incubator. In trial it seems very reliable - great for teaching. Eggs come tomorrow though so I can tell you more in three weeks.

The programming is bad to the point where it will cost you a lot of eggs. The factory reset does not work and it turns off rotation at set days without knowing what kind of eggs your hatching. It's been more of a headache than anything.

I plugged this incubator in to make sure it maintained the temperature, which it did. The temperature setting is adjustable but the humidity is not. The alarm went off constantly for low humidity. I am glad I tested it before I placed eggs in it. It was annoying and definitely would not work if you dry hatch your eggs.

Love this as my coturnix quail egg incubator. Easy to operate and setup. Just dont forget you have to add the second watwr bottle at lock down. The light for candling is super bright. If you have 18 plus gram quail eggs you will not fit 48. 43-44 jumbo quail eggs. Will be back for a second one. So easy to clean after hatch as well. Very happy with it.

Disappointed this is marketed for quail eggs. I do not think it is built for quail. I'll try a 2nd round and change my rating if it's better the next time, but I set 24 fertilized quail eggs two weeks ago and out of those there are only 6 looking ready for lock-down. Majorly disappointing. This is not my first hatch, just first time with this incubator. I have a 2nd thermometer inside which doesn't match the built-in. I have temp turned up to 101 (too hot), with my internal thermometer saying it's 96 (too cold). For lock down, I added paper towels over the floor, because the bottom is a plastic mesh, which the holes seem too large for teeny quail feet. I'm afraid they'll fall through and get stuck or injured. The directions for set up were easy enough, and I didn't find it difficult to get started. The beeps are much quieter than my other incubator which is nice. The candler is not good for quail eggs. The quail egg does not sit in the ring, you have to carefully get it just right to cover the light in order to see inside, and it is so bright that you hurt your eyes, even from the side trying not to look at it, while getting the eggs situated correctly in order to see inside the egg. If the round piece meant to hold the egg were taller, this wouldn't be an issue. If none of these babies hatch I will cry!

So far it is working well, though the humidity is running either slightly lower or slightly higher than I prefer, it is easy to add water when needed and I found it easy to set up. I am concerned about the size of the holes in the grate when the quail hatch, it seems like those might be a bit big but we will wait and see. I may add shelf liner before lockdown.
