  • Great for riding around the countryside.
Color: yellow Style: Standard
I received my Hipeak electric bike basically without a scratch on it. It was well packed as you can see in the pictures. It comes with a set of tools. Also, the battery charger is UL listed. The lithium battery pack is 48 V 15 Ah battery that charges within about seven hours if it needs a full charge. Currently I have 106 miles on the bike and the battery charger and battery pack appear to charge adequately. Charger does get hot so I turn it on its side. I accidentally left it plugged in overnight and there were no problems. Read carefully through the manual. If you want to change some settings, you can change your top speed to 25 mph which I compared to some biking apps and it was within one mile per hour, correct. I also have purchased water bottle holder, Sideview mirrors, storage bag for the back rack that fits it perfectly and holds 10 L of storage. I changed out the seat to a large comfort seat and also added extra lights front and back. This bike has a good front and back light brake lights turn on as soon as you hit the brake levers. Seems to be a very solid, well-built bike. I particularly like the step through for convenience. Disc brakes will most likely need to be manually adjusted but not a problem. Contacting Hipeak Bike support and they responded back quickly within the next business day. They even checked on my FedEx delivery, which had some issues but got resolved. I mainly ride my bike on the paved roads, and it does well on hills as well. The tires do make noise but not that much but allows people to know I’m coming. People, smile and give me the thumbs up when they see my yellow step through Hipeak Bike. Update, June 8, 2023 currently I have 365 miles on my Hipeak Bike code, name, Elias step through. I mainly ride my bike around the country side back Roads paved only. The bike is capable of doing 25 mph. I have a number of hills that I have to go over. It is averaging only 25 miles total. Keep in mind I set my pedal assist to the highest level at all times and I use the throttle to usually start my bike up. Charging usually takes seven hours to fully charge. I studied up using YouTube videos and reading about how to adjust mechanical disc brakes, and I have them working extremely well for me. Yes, they do squeak a little, but not a big deal for me. I also like riding it at night in the dark Around the small towns in my area. I have two lights mounted on the front and back. I also wear a helmet that has strapped on a headlamp with two lights that reach 1200 lm power. I can see everything that I need. If you have any problems with your bike, Just take it to your local E bike shop. And yes, you can slide this bike into the backseat of a full-size sedan. I added a picture of my four-door Chevy sedan just to show you how well it fits in. I believe the measurements are off on the bike in regards to its length folded up. Also added a picture to show you the extra options that I added to the bike. I added an extra large, memory, foam seat, as well as a utility bag for the back rack. I also have three mirrors on the bike as well as a water bottle holder and a bike phone holder which you can see in my second to last picture. Now enjoy your new E bike. NEWEST Update, November 2023 - currently I have over 2100 miles on the HiPEAK E bike. That’s correct over 2100 miles. I’ve included a picture that shows the mileage. I’ve also updated with purchasing regular road tires made for e-bikes. I have a picture included of those tire treads. Purchased brighter, front headlights, as well as a brighter, red flashing backlight. Changing out the tires from the 20 inch times 4 inch knobby tires to the smoother road tire is not too difficult. I believe I have over 1000 miles now on the road tires. You really need to rotate your tires front to back somewhere around the thousand miles in order to have the treads evenly wear. Your back tires will always wear out quicker on any bike and especially on a heavy E bike. I also purchased second HiPEAK 15 mA battery and carry it in my storage bag sitting on the back fender. The batteries do weigh 10 pounds so keep that in mind. I always ride my bike on the highest pedal assist level at all times. On flat surfaces you can reach 25 mph but the battery when it runs down will not hit that speed but it’s probably closer to 21 mph then on the last bar flashing, your power is cut in half or more. at this rate, the battery will not last longer than 25 miles. Keep in mind I ride my bike out on paved back roads mainly with a lot of hills to climb. The only other maintenance I’ve had to do was checking the brake pads and believe it or not they have not worn out yet. They appear to be almost full metallic brakes, and even the disc do not show very much wear either. Quite surprised by that. Yes, the brakes will squeak But not really an issue for me. Remember these are mechanical disc brakes, and not hydraulic. Overall a solid bike but sometimes the electronics on the bike will cut out the motor and there can be a 5 to 10 second delay for them to reengage. I’ve had to turn off the bike while riding and turn it back on in order to reengage the motor at times . For me that’s not a huge issue but wish it didn’t do that. Has never left me stranded anywhere’s other than one flat tire after 2100 miles which is not bad. It always depends on what you run over with your tires. My tire punctured immediately and the bad is you cannot push your bike down the road at all. Not like a regular bicycle with much skinnier tires. 4 inch wide tires will not allow you to roll the heavy E bike correctly. Besides, you could damage your tire or rim if you try. I carry spare tire tubes and the tools to change out when necessary. You’ll have to change your tire on the spot or leave it there and come back and pick it up with your motor vehicle. With two batteries, I have written as far as 40 miles on one trip with a number of stops and even ate out and the trip lasted five hours for me coming back at night after riding on a rails to Trail then back on the hard top and back into a town to get something to eat. The bike for the most part has never let me down other than the one flat just watch where you ride your bike 🚴 🚴♀️🚴♂️🏍️. Also, if you bundle up with a lot of layers, you can ride this bike in colder weather. Also, I never had an accident on the bike but my head is always on a swivel. You really have to watch cars and what they’re doing. I believe it’s a lot more fun to ride your bike on paved back roads instead of on rails to trails that are clogged up with regular bicycles, people walking 🚶 people with dogs, etc. You always have to go much slower and ring your bell often. Try to look for rails to trails that are so long that most people do not want to walk the distance. NOW Enjoy your hipeak, E-BIKE. It’s a great way to see nature without having to pedal hard up hills for we older folks. I contacted hiPeak Customer service in regards to my settings for the Ebike and below is what they sent me which covers pretty much all the settings you need to change on your bike. Keep in mind they now respond by email very quickly usually within 10 minutes. They appear to have 24/7 coverage now. There is no phone number to call to get Customer service. support@hipeakbike.com Proper settings for hipeak, electric bike listed below ………….. Below are the directions for proper settings on your Hipeak Bike. They seem to be correct for me after 2100 miles. - - - - Thank you for contacting Hipeak, this is …… from customer service. • Totally amazing but I have a caution.
Color: white Style: With Rear Bag
I really love my bike. Firstly the company delivered it to me in 3 days from me ordering it. They are faster than Amazon and really know how to WOW a customer. It was easy to put together and I am a 66 year old average woman, who built it alone. It took me three hours because I didn't read the instructions properly. But it was easy enough and there is a video connected to the order on amazon. Silly me Lol. You may be wondering about the weight. It is 61lbs, Hipeak customer service told me. It is heavy but lighter than many others. The bike folds up too. It is everything I wanted. Caution. However, there was a operator problem that everyone should know about. On my first day I took the bike out, got on and rode on my street. I tested the assited pedal and glided along like a real pro. Then I got off. I was standing there thinking, excitedly 'where shall I go?' and my hand caught on the throttle. The bike took off and dragged me with it, pulling my shoulder, landing on my hip and smashing my head on the road. Fortunately I had purchased a really good ILM helmet for $80.00 from Amazon. So that paid for it's self immediately. I was really shaken and scared. I took the bike inside and made a brightly colored plastic cover for the throttle, as I only really wanted the assisted pedal feature anyway. Three weeks later my shoulder is still healing. This accident sent me a really big warning. So I decided to set myself some rules. For example turn it off when not riding and my feet are on the floor. Practice with it, such as starting and stopping, braking, emergency braking, maneuvering. Know it is very easy to pedal without electricity too, if necessary. I think building your confidence and skill in I safe place prior to going out properly is very important. Also wear protective gear, a good helmet, jeans, gloves, a top that protects your arms. This is not just a bike, it has additional power and you go faster and like cycling there are going to be times that you fall off. And when you are riding 'think car' because they won't think about you. I think of my ebike a a scaled down motor bike. I have read that lots of older people are thinking about buying ebikes. If that is you, you need to consider your health prior to purchase. If you have brittle bone disease, problems with balance, or trouble focusing/concentrating you might like to purchase an alternative item. I hate to spoil people's fun, because these bikes are lots of fun. But I thought you should know. Also I see people traveling on ebikes in parks and on sidewalks at ridiculous speeds. Not only is that dangerous but it also creates lots of bad feelings amongst people and the families who enjoy these spaces. So not only should you 'think car' you should also 'think safe' I hope you enjoy your bike as much as I enjoy mine. And I give a great thanks to Hipeak Bikes for such a fantastic product at a great price. I have a lot of fun days to come. Thank you. Xx ... show more
