This bike seems like a solid value. I looked at a lot of bikes before buying this one. Good Plenty of speed for all my purposes including throttling through sand and silt. Nothing has broke after 140 miles Easy to build for the most part Nothing super cheap feeling except the bag maybe Meh The weight. It’s a yitch to load in an suv solo The free bag The not so good The steering stem that folds down to be compact looks a bit dorky but more so, when you hit the brakes there’s some engineered play built in there. Not broke. Just how it works. A little concerned about that friction over times. The tires are super thin. Little jack spikes in the calif desert will puncture right through tire and tube and then leaky leaky. Pro tip with a capital p: dump some bike tube green slime in there. That stuff works amazingly well. I get a dozen punctures every time I rally in the desert and when I’m done I pull all the thorns and like a zit a little slime comes out and immediately seals the tube. Works great and makes the tires a non issue. Here’s the one thing that would steer me away from this bike and most ebikes: the motor kicks when it detects a full rotation of your pedals then it spurts forward for about 2 seconds unless you hit the brakes which cuts the spurt off. This is due to the way the pedal assist works using the detection of a rotating magnet on the wheel. Thats how it knows if you’re trying to go forward. It’s a very cave man setup. Borderline unsafe though there’s a variety of little workarounds you’ll use with hand throttle and no pas or flicking the pas settings up and down as you go. WHAT YOU REALLY WANT TO BUY IS A TORQUE SENSOR BASED PAS ELECTRIC BIKE. Naturally the vast majority of e-bikes are the caveman setup. A select few bikes or torque. What the hayfield is torque sensor? It detects the relative pressure (torque) you’re putting on the pedals. Then like a smart little doo doo it will apply motor power in relation to how hard you’re pushing. In short - intelligent design. So these bikes are more like $1k. Maybe a bit more. Doing it all over again I would look into building my own ebike. Buy a decent bike with 21 gears. Then buy a kit (most of the battery motor diy kits are torque - they are the ones that replace or work with your pedal sprocket by your feet. They don’t mess with front or rear end).     • Good bike, but waiting accessories
So, we received our new bikes. Bags seem to be not shipped by FedEx. This wasn't mentioned or else a mailing address could have been given. 2 weeks have now passed and no bags. All of this could be worked out if a phone number was given instead of me giving a 3 star for this purchase. The bikes themselves don't deserve this rating. They are a 4.5. Please ship bags to FedEx address and not to mailing address as it says "Free FedEx shipping ". ... show more

I purchased the Bona step over and it is a very solid bike. Half the time putting the bike together was spent removing it from the packaging. But it arrived safe and secure, though there was a minor rip in the seat. Set up would be a smoother process with two people, but one can do it as I can attest. The whole process of unboxing and set up took me a little over an hour. Bottom line, it is what it says and it does what it says. All the parts were there. Battery charger works nice. Everything fits nice. Even comes with a mini tool kit which I barely had to use. ... show more
